Kaspersky Support Closed...Need Immediate HELP (SOLVED)

This has to be Murphy's law at work. I just happened to buy my Kaspersky
2009 Anti Virus on a day where my expiration day is Thanksgiving. So I can't
get any support.

Here is my problem.

I have 2009. I don't want to upgrade to 2010. I just want to renew my
license, but when I click on renew, it just brings me to a page that only
has 2010 products. There doesn't seem to be a way just to renew my
license for 2009.

I have gone online and looked up every possible question I could think of
to get an answer to this but am having no luck and with no support open
today, I am out of options, which is why I am coming here.

Right now, my PC does not have up to date protection and with the state
that my PC is in to begin with, that scares the beegeebees out of me.

Is there anybody here who has Kaspersky 2009, is still using and it, and
knows how to renew the license or can at least tell me if I have no other
option but to upgrade to 2010.

If you're wondering why I don't want to upgrade, the last time I installed
something on this PC it crashed. I had to do a system restore to an earlier
date.

Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...oh, and Happy Thanksgiving.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that you could still renew (even though it says 2010) and your 2009 would keep updating (that is, your licence would still be valid). I don't *think* it forces you to upgrade to 2010 version (I seem to remember having to download and install every new version of Kaspersky; it never upgraded to a new version on its own.)

And a quick search in Google shows this forum thread from Kaspersky's support forum:

Kaspersky Lab Forum > renew kis 2009 license without upgrading to kis 2010 ?

    Hi Steven,

I have been using Kaspersky for 2 years now. You should be able to simply renew your license. Even if it says 2010, you would actually have to download and install it, but you should still be able to simply use the new license key on 2009.

At this point, buy it and see. Like I said, it can't upgrade unless you install, but at least you can try the new license key...
