what was your first question when you started out?

When you were a total `n00bie` affilaite marketer, what was the first question that you had? Did you want to know just `how to make money`, or did you have something specific in mind? (I.e., article marketing, video marketing, etc?)

When you first started out, what were you looking for, and why?

    Interesting Post?

    Not sure about you, but I pretty much jumped in on impulse with my network marketing company.

    Having applied offline methods (the Companies way) to promote the product lines, I found myself being drawn to online methods more and more.

    So the question for me was do I go down the traditional network marketing path or do I mix it up or do I go purely online to generate customers and leaders for my Team?

    It's a tough call, but guess who had to make it and be comfortable with that decision?

    First thing I asked was how to setup my own website..seriously! :p But of course, the be all end all question would be how to drive lots of targetted traffic to ones' sites or blogs. Agree?

      I started out wanting to create and sell a product I had an idea for, and wound up getting side swiped into buying a book of secrets to help me make butt loads of money online - but it had nothing to do with product creation so I was duped into an entirely different direction.

      Those shovel selling IM marketing to IM *******s.

      Now look at the mess I'm in.

    It was so long ago that I have no idea anymore... I just wanted to know what was the most automatic way to make money without further effort I guess... Then I started to realize I just had to test all the crap I was reading and eventually found my own solutions...

      I´m still a complete newbie, but my first question was about the different business models. Affiliate marketing, niche marketing, adsense, CPA.. I wanted to know more about each of them, find out which was the best for me etc.

      You may want to consider doing - d). Your "own" Blog - as well.

      ps.
      There are many systems out there where you will receive a free website and training guide, which is great. The only downside you probably won't have full control of your list.

    I proudly admit my first question was "Why can't anybody see my website?"

    I had designed a nice looking (to me, at the time) page in Word and couldn't figure out why nobody could see it.

    Turns out I had to get something called a "domain name" and "hosting". Who knew?

      This was my question too. I was told to buy a domain name. I did that and then wondered why I did not have a website from godaddy. I realized I needed hosting. Then it hit me that I had to build I website from scratch, that is when I almost fainted.

      I went the blogging path anyway.

      I got so mixed up, I realized, I had no idea...I had never heard of affiliate marketing, so I got into a membership site that promised to teach me and make me rich quick well I am still learning the ropes but at least I can do FTP and my click bank account is ooooing.

    yes..how to get traffic.

    My very first "contact" with IM i had when i came across one of those "Rich Jerk" ebooks - and i read it like all you need is some site and then put clickbank ads on the site and the money will come.

    So i made a site and put ads on it for clickbank products..but for some reason i didnt make thousands over the next days/months..so i was puzzled (Really funny thinking back ... )

    The "real" information came way later when i started joining several webmaster forums and learned about SEO, backlinks etc...
