Blueprint to Getting Crawled Faster?

Hey warriors,

Does anyone here have a blueprint for getting your sites crawled more often by google?

Step one is have a sitemap, and feed it to webmaster tools
Step two is always linking from related and reputable resources

I have sitemaps on all my wordpress sites (Addon), what webmaster tools are we talking about here? Thank you. =)

I learnt/learned somewhere that the more you update your site/blog, the faster it will get crawled. But I maybe wrong. I have written blog posts and had it indexed in 5 mins without any backlinking or social media submission.

I've experienced this, the BAD thing about this is that the content i was writing weren't finished, so it indexed my site with unfinished content.

From now on, i will never buy a domain name or start a wordpress blog before the the content is done! Oh well
