I have been looking a various affiliate programs and there cookie length for example I have found one with a 90 cookie.

Now I know that this that if any customer returns to the site within 90 days I get the sale.

My question is does the cookie renew itself every time my referral visits

For example if buys when he first visits then again 80 days later then again 70 days after that do I get checked for the 3rd purchase

Other way of putting this would does the 90 start and end from the 1st visit or the last visit

If the last visit is through your affiliate link then the 90 day countdown begins again. But if they just go to the sites main url then it is 90 days from the first visit through your link. Anyway that's usually how it works. Check your affiliate program for exact details on their cookie system.
