Hi Warriors!

I´ve been lurking for a couple of months now and today I finally decided to register and say thank you.

This month I made my first few bucks online and thanks to this amazing forum and all the members.

In November I´ve made $216 from my first website, and although it´s not much, I´m feeling great! I made around $53 from adsense and the rest from promoting a physical product through Shareasale.

If there are other newbies reading this, all I want to say is don´t give up! I struggled the first couple of months because I had no focus. I wanted to try everything, and I got nothing done. I started one method, but I gave up before it had a chance to work.

Once I focused, things started to get better. I chose one method and stick to it and now I´m starting to see results.

Great advice for newbies too! Information overload is a killer of productivity. It's too easy to lose your focus when there are dollar signs dragging you in 20 different directions!

Great job! That's the biggest secret of this whole enchilada... Stick to your idea and don't change it. I was guilty of this, and ahve been to many times. You can't really go higher than #1 on Google for your keyword, but until you are there, don't stop =)

Do you think it mattered that much which method you chose? Or were there a dozen different good ways to make money, and all that mattered is that you chose one? In other words, to get philosophical here, is the difference in the method outside of you, or the motivation within you?

Hi Selena

When I first started in IM i was reading everything I could and never got anything done. I think everyone starts like that. Once you put a plan down and put it inot action that is when you see things change. Your first monies online are always the ones you will remember now all you have to do is repeat the process and double your money next month.

My traffic is organic, mostly from google, and from one article I published on Goarticles. I was following the Angela Experiment at the time and I backlinked almost two Angela´s packet to this article. it´s now #2 on Google for a kw with more than 3 million results. I get about 50 visitors a day from this article alone.

I don´t think the method mattered... The most important thing, IMO, is persistency. Of course there are methods that work better than others, for different people. In my case, I hate writting and it´s difficult not being a native speaker. So decided to write a few articles and put lots of quality backlinks, instead of writing a bunch of articles and hope one of them sticks...

You just have to find what method works best for you and stick to it.

Shareasale is better than any other affiliate program I used including CB, comm junction, etc. none provided any income and such a pain to deal with. Congrats on your success, keep up the great work!

Congratulations on achieving some success after a few months, Selena. What you related about information overload is something that afflicts almost every newbie internet marketer, and I'm sure you literally felt like you were drowning in that sea of information as it was trying to pull you in many different directions at one time. Now that you've established that you can make money from that first site which you put up, try to build on your success by creating new sites which are similar...keep yourself busy going in that same direction!

December was a good month for me. I made $350 from that one site and started 3 new sites.

On January I had a huge problem with my host and my site was down for more than a week. I lost traffic, rankings and sales... It took me a while to fix it, and it has just started to climb back where it was. Somehow I still managed to make $76 from it.

(BTW, Domain.com sucks! Do not host with them, their support is horrible. I moved to Hostgator and they're great.)

As far as method and strategy, I was going for the Xfactor method and tried building several small sites. It didn't worked very well for me because I lost focus again, so I'm back to working on only one at a time.

I actually received an email that other day from someone interested in buying my site! lol

It felt good but I'm not ready to sell yet. I'm curious to see how far I can take it.
