That might be very true. I just started IMing and I'm having trouble getting traffic to my lens. I've written MANY articles and bookmarked it with several sites. Maybe I just need to wait it out and see if traffic starts to come in?

P.S. I'm just getting anxious for my first sale :P

Keep it up!
Let us know when you get that first sale!

Stripthatfat.com has great traffic, but it could be better. I wonder if you can approach the site and see if they would be willing to offer you a lower price. You can offer it from your lens at a discount... you make money, the site makes money, everyone wins.

Unless you happen to be the owner of the site, in that case, well done.

activate the intro module, and (as part of it) show related lenses. it will mean your link will show up on related lenses. join a few related groups, and comment on lenses in the group.

add a novelty module in there somewhere.

add interactivity with a poll

subscribe to your own rss feed

open an account at stumbleupon. you will need to create a profile irst, and then install the browser toolbar. stumble it just once. it will give you a nice peak. afterwards only stumble it amongst other general pages you like, and only after you updated it.

i stumbled it 4 u. hope it helps

It would also help if you gave genuine reviews instead of just ranked products according to clickbank gravity - on your list product one is faddish and selling it will hurt your credibility in the long run, product two I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole and I'm expecting to see the creator/owner in a FTC lawsuit any day now, product three is a worthless and misleading fad diet that is potentially harmful to your customers, products 4 and 5 are excellent systems with solid diet and exercise information from real professionals in the field.

Are you in this to grab some quick cash any way you can, or do you want to build a business with long-term credibility? If you're just after a quick one-off sale you can keep on just making 'review' sites ranked by clickbank gravity and credibility be damned - if you want to actually build a business you'll start to do your research based on what the product does, and not what sort of commission you stand to earn.

I want to do this in the long run. I want to make a livable income off of this and make this my primary job.

So yes, the long run.

A confused mind always says, "No."

Maybe you have too many choices. It would be hard to pick the one to go with.

Well then - try actually reading the products you're promoting and pick the ones you genuinely believe are worth the money and won't land you on a court docket.

That's if you're building your name and brand in that specific niche, that is - if you're doing bum marketing or conduit site methods this doesn't apply, there you're going for the straight clickthrough/sale.

If you're looking for a long term business - well, I have my opinion, but there's a zillion books out there by more qualified teachers than me that will show you how to get started with any business model you choose. If you're looking to build your brand in that niche an autoresponder newsletter works well - just ask Eben Pagan.

The important thing is to think about how the products you're promoting fits into the brand you're trying to build - although they make you cash on the front end, promoting them hurts your long-term income potential because the products in themselves undermine your credibility.

Now, some niches don't work very well for branding, some niches you can't do anything but conduit method or bum marketing if you expect a ROI on your effort, there's no one approach that works consistently across all markets.

Though for my two cents- look up Paul Myers and subscribe to TalkBiz News if you haven't already. Spend some time reading what Paul has to teach you about business and sales, and you'll be well equipped to actually go places.

Buy some of his manuals, and you'll be ready to take off like a rocket.
