Ezine or Site? - Which ranks better?

I´m doing keyword research for an affiliate product. I´m looking at the competition at google and most sites at the first page has the product niche in their domain name but not too much
indexed sites, but no ezine articles either.

I´m just wondering if I stand a good change at ranking with ezine articles or If I should just put the content on my own niche related site, which method do you think is best for rankings, ezine carries more auhority but is not niche specific which my own site is but it´s new site.

Appreciate any tips and advice regarding this...

    Put it on your own site first, rewrite it then put it on EZA(and other article directories). Why limit yourself to only one spot in the top 10? I firmly believe any good niche site can outrank an EZA article in the rankings, I do it myself pretty often nowadays - but don't limit yourself by only doing one or the other - do both and build some backlinks to them.

      You definitely want to put your content on your own site, as well as publish it on Ezinearticles. It is much better to get your own site ranked high because you own the domain and the content. Ezine can pull down your articles whenever they want, and you want to get your content on as many sites as possible.
