How can I make more money?

Greetings everyone, it seems that my websites are not recession proof. Since the first of the year, I have lost 60% of my online income. I am OK for now but want to find new ways to market my products. I mainly deal in marketing tools.

I am looking for suggestions for new and innovative ways to advertise my business. I have been online for seven years and in the past have had some success. My business partners are in a panic and I keep telling them, not to do anything rash.

Please let me know if you have some suggestions.

Thanks,
David Bowie

Want more money? Get a bigger gun...

Seriously...I have not seen much of a recession with my online ventures ....in-fact some have actually increased! I'm finding that with this recession, people are searching for the best deals out there & are turning to the Internet for those searches. I'm guessing it all depends on what your selling & how much value it offers to the buyer.

Losing 60% of your business is enough to throw up a red flag....I agree with Jason & kenster in that Traffic would be my first concern & first point of revaluation...

Yes, I doubt its due all to the recession. Take a look at your processes, your tracking and find out what specifically changed in terms of where your traffic is coming from your demographics everything. Try and pinpoint what exactly has changed...are conversions the same just less traffic?

Give me some more specifics and maybe I can help more.

Good luck getting back to where you were!

  • People that don't believe the recession is hurting targeted niches are living in a sad world of denial. Gee my niche is still doing okay, so all niches must be okay. There is no factual logic in that approach.

Only you know your traffic and your sales ratios. There are many industries that are getting pounded while others are doing well. It's simple economics when a recession occurs money shifts from one market to another and people cut back.

So your job is to find the markets that are working and not invest so much effort into those that are not.

For example: Real Estate Sales are down, but Rentals are up because the displaced former homeowners still need a place to live.

So how can you transition what you are doing into new opportunities?
