Finding affiliates for your niche

How do you go about this? The IM niche is covered, tons of those out there, but if you're in a smaller niche I've found it to be quite difficult.

I've contacted some people by email and I get ignored every time I inquire about getting an affiliate thing going on :confused:

How do you personally go about finding people to promote your product? There's a website called directory of ezines, but I'm not sure it's going to be worth the cash to access it.

    I would personally work on building my own list before recruiting affiliates. What is your niche? Are you involved in any forums in that niche? That is one place I would start to look. Seek out list owners and JV managers in your niche. Many of them will work on a reciprocation basis(you mail for them, they mail for you)

    Talk with people in the offline world.

    For mine, I posted on craigslist and Charged people to become my affiliates.

      One idea I've had is to just simply look on clickbank and email the owners of various similar products in my niche. I've had a little luck so far, but nothing near what I want . I'll keep thinking of ideas and hope it works out.

      I currently don't have any clickbank products since my main concentration is launching a membership site. Clickbank products are definitely planned for the near future though. I've got a good list size as of now, but I could always use as much promotion for it as I can get!

    promote it yourself. once, it gets a little attention here and there, then look for affiliates.
