Hey guys I'm new to the Warrior Forum & also pretty new to internet marketing. For all the pros & intermediates out there, do you guys have any techniques to share on how a newbie can start making a few extra hundred dollars a month online? I'm currently a college student just looking to make a few extra hundred bucks a month. Thought the best way to learn is to get tips from you guys who have had your share of success online. Thanks in advance!

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

You could sell your articles if you want. However, if you want to build a long term business, you should consider setting up a simple website for yourself. Instead of giving that content to others, build an
      asset for yourself.

Freelancing is a great way to get started. I started out by freelancing without using the networks. some people get lucky and can do it solo, and some don't. a few tips if you go that route.

Put together some samples of your work that you can share with people when they ask you

Put a message in your signature file in the forums letting people know what you can do. When I started freelancing, I did that, and got flooded with PMs within 2 days.

There is a lot of great advice here in this post already. Look around and you will find something that you are good at. Once you do that, you can build a business from there.

Thanks man. I've heard something about freelance article marketing for some websites. I guess the concept is I write an article, probably a how-to one & submit it to them. Then the website pays you for submitting it to them. I believe I can write a lot of articles about a number of different topics quickly. Anybody know links where I can start with those?

  • If you are in school elect to take a marketing class and make one of your online projects part of your coursework.

Marketing is about identifying markets then figuring out how to sell to that market. Selling and Marketing are complementary, but not the same.

A lot of people will say "I do Internet Marketing"... when all they really do is what I'm about to outline next.

Most people do the same old crap, make a site, throw up some affiliate links, then try to get traffic. They they go the the forms to see "what am I doing wrong".

And if you tell them they are all offended, and don't know enough to know good advice from bad.

If you want good advice on "how to make money online"...

    here it is.

Focus on the CUSTOMER. Find your market. Figure out what you can sell to that market. Create a Business plan. Then follow that plan.

Work backwards from your market to your presentation. Then track and test.

That's the way you make money.

You MUST fish in the pond that is stocked. Too many people think all you do is cast you line and catch fish.

People who rely on "luck" nearly always lose.

You're probably smart enough to get this...

Very good advice spoken, but I would like to add a helpful tip along with it. Your keywords/Keyword phrases will play a huge factor in your success. If you don't have your keyword research done properly and use the profitable keyword phrases, then you could be dead in the water before you even get started. Having proper long tailed keyword phrases can get you ranked almost by itself. It like building a house without a strong foundation. Don't make this same mistake as many marketers do.

I agree - I wish more people would say that.

Learn to find hungry markets and how to reach them - where they live online
Learn what they want and provide it simply.

Capture/collect customers and interested parties and - build that list.

Find buyers first - hungry market.
Much easier to create one product and have lots of buyers than have lots of products and go looking for buyers 1-at-a-time.

Here's a basic idea of information that you're looking for...it's not targeted since you didn't ask a targeted question.

WarriorForum - Internet Marketing Forums - Threads Tagged with allinone

That's got info on all the major popular topics on here.

However, I will add my 2 cents. I'd suggest getting a freelance gig that you can earn some money from by providing a service. Seems like a whole business isn't what you want so that's a good place to start.

    Warriors For Hire

Hope that gives you a start...my recommendation in all future posts is to be as specific as you can...b/c there are literally hundreds if not thousands of ways to make money...especially in the way you want to do it.

    Cheers,

    Brad

      Heya Dreamz!

Short answer to your question is yes. There are LOADS of ways you can make money online, and in fact, there are so many that people who are new to the idea often suffer from "analysis paralysis."

One sad side effect of this is that people spend a LOT of time buying and downloading system after system to learn (and a big chunk of this material is warmed over, recycled garbage...just the other day, while doing some research, I came across a "super deal" whereby I could pay a special low rate of $37 to learn a treasure trove of IM secrets, including places I could pay to submit my site to almost five HUNDRED search engines!" SCAMSCAMSCAM). Unfortunately, there's a lot of that out there.

Best thing you can do for yourself is pick ONE method and get comfy using it. Once you ARE comfy, you can start to branch out, but in order to stay focused and put the kind of sustained effort it takes to succeed, the worst thing you can do is be running around trying to juggle half a dozen projects in the early going.

Now, maybe that's a JV, or straight up list building, or adsense/affiliate marketing, or hybrid (online/offline), or something else altogether...whatever suits your fancy. With the income goals you stated, ANY of these can easily be made to serve your purposes.

So...pick one of those from the menu, find someone who knows what he's (or she's) talking about and learn from that person.

Before long, you'll feel things begin to click, and then, by all means, start branching out and learning from others, but again, I would caution against opening the information "tap" all the way. You'll get overloaded and spend all your time "learning," and you'll never quite get to the "doing" part.

Hey guys thanks a lot! I'll def keep in mind the things you guys are saying. & I'll also check your recommendations. & I agree about getting stuck on the learning, action needs to be taken as well. Yes I know & I'm sure there are scams out there & there are also people selling "hype" with weak quality products. I love this forum because peeps like y'all can help point new guys like me in the right direction.

Here's an easy way to make some quick money ..

Go to nicheempires.com and get some plr products, buy a domain and web hosting, then put up the sales page and sell it on flippa for $97.

The trick to making this work is choosing a good quality plr product with a good sales page and a keyword and/or catchy domain name.

I've been doing this for a few months and have made a few G's already.

NicheEmpires.com has A LOT of stuff so you should find something you're able to sell.
