Question about Membership site models..

Hey guys,

I have a dilemma I'd like some input on. I have content for a membership site that I want to drip-feed on a monthly basis with a small recurring charge. I also only want the subscriber to have access to the content from the month they joined the site and on, not the content from months previous (similar to Angela's/Paul's Backlinks where it's a small fee to get that content).

I'd use Paypal, but I'd like a way to have an affiliate program for it, and various shopping carts I've checked out don't support Paypal's subscription service.

So, the question is...

Is there any way to do this membership website that can have:

  • a recurring monthly charge
  • an affiliate program
  • drip-feed content on a monthly basis
  • only access to the month they joined and onward (and they'd have to pay for the previous month's content)
Here's the kicker... would any option out there be affordable? Hopefully I can get some possibilities..

    Yes, there are several different options that
    will deliver your content in the way you have
    described.

    It very much depends on your budget and the
    long term plans you have for your membership
    site.

    You could quickly and easily set up a Wordpress
    based membership site or you could invest in a
    fully functional memebership script.

      Hey John,

      Thanks for the reply.

      I'm on a low budget now, so preferably less expensive. As for the future plans of the site, I'd say it's rather long-term, possibly years. I have enough content now for 10 months, so I have a long while to develop more in the mean time.

      Which options specifically are you talking about in regards to this?

    Thanks for the reference to the $15 Membership
    site Blueprint thread. However, the plugin I was
    recommending in that thread has now become
    a relatively expensive option. There are less
    expensive options.
