Best place ro start for a noob?

Hey guys (and girls!)
What is the best place to start for a complete noob. I've got a ton of helpful info from the War Room, but if you can point me in a good direction, I'd appreciate it

All depends on what you wish to accomplish.

What would you like to see happen?

Are you just looking to make a couple extra bucks a month, or do you want to run a full time business?

To start I'm probably looking at doing some PLR products, maybe doing a blog? I have a non existent budget, so I've got to be creative.

If you are completely new to internet marketing, take a look at thirtydaychallenge.com, it's free. I'm not affiliated with that site, I'm recommending it because they have a lot of good information.

You're welcome. Even though the course is completely free, it's very well organized and has a ton of value. I hope you find it useful.

There are tons of variables to this question. It's impossible for us to answer unless you can give us more info about yourself and what you want to accomplish. I would ask you questions like this:

Are you in this for the long haul or do you think you can get rich quick online?
Do you have strong technical skills or do you think Wordpress is a pannini sandwich made in the shape of letters?
Do you think traffic generation happens at the nearest intersection or have you actually taken some time to study it?
How much do you have to spend - you have to some money but you can start small?
Do you want an autopilot business or do you want to spend time in it?
Do you have a hobby or special information that others can learn from you?

Those are only a few of the questions that we would need or you can ask yourself. There are many, many ways to go.

If I were you, I would sit down and ask myself, "what is it that I enjoy doing the most?" And, maybe even more importantly, what would I do if I had a great income online and time to spend money. What would I spend it on? Hint: If you're in it for the money alone, you will struggle! Find your passion and follow it.

So, be honest with yourself because until you really understand who you are what you want to do it doesn't matter what we tell you, you probably won't like our answers.

So, now, I'll attempt to answer your question!

Learn all you can about generating traffic. There are 1,000s of ways. You only need to be good at 1-3 to be successful. Sometimes 1 will do the trick! Until you have the income to outsource this, this will be what you do most of the time.

If you don't have technical skills, find someone that can design a website for you inexpensively. You have the WSO thread at your disposal.

The bottom line with Internet Marketing is that you never stop studying and learning. It changes constantly.

You are in the right place.

And, here's the best advice I can give you and something I wish someone had told me early on: Whatever you decide to do, don't sit around worrying about whether you made the right decision or the wrong decision -- take action and just do it.

This has been an excellent thread and helpful to me as well. Your head could explode and your wallet be drained if you read every single bit of advice on the web about how to make money. "Follow your passion" is the best advice I've ever heard. With that said, the health and wellness (especially diet) industries are always a good place to start!

Ginger, thank you for the helpful info! To answer some of your questions:

    1. I have learned and got burned in the get rich quick schemes and have come to realise that patience is indeed a virtue,
    2. I am technically inept insofar that I can type in the Wordpress Griddler and just about get it to post.
3.I am still learning about traffic and the infinite ways you can direct it. If I can learn more tricks, I will.
    4. I'm REALLY limited in my budget right now, 50-100 is my maximum until the ball gets rolling.
    5. I'm looking for more of an autopilot business than one I have spend hours on.
    6. I do have some knowledge of a few subjects that I guess would be considered a niche.I'm hoping to use that to my advantage

I will take your other advice to heart as well. It's nice to meet someone who is brutally honest

Thanks! Didn't mean to be brutal - but I know I don't mince words!

    thirtydaychallenge.com is a great place.

Also, my suggestion is that you start with free resources, just to learn how things work. Use blogger and other free things to get online - sign up, follow instructions, learn how to ask questions about the inevitable problems. Learn to upload your content. Learn how to put free pictures on your blog. Make another blog and learn to connect them.

Get free webhosting and a 99-cent dot-info domain name and set up a site. And so on.

You want to get comfortable with the basic tools of the internet. Those free things probably aren't going to be good enough once you work your way up the earning ladder - but it gives you a good idea of how things work. Also, it will make you think about how someone can make money giving away free tools and resources.

If money is an issue (it almost always is for anyone starting out), you should start learning the basics and providing freelance type services. It doesn't pay very well starting out, but this is exactly what you need to further your IM knowledge, as well as give you the additional capital needed to break into IM (it can get expensive once you decide to really delve into it!)

Flipping websites is good place to start. It's easy and pretty simple to do. There are plenty of flipping guides on clickbank. You could try FlipSecrets.com - Your Guide To Buying And Selling "Virtual" Real Estate! too.

I've been flipping PLR stuff for a few months now and it's not hard at all to do.

Google Sniper is also a good product to start with as well.

If you PM me, I'll send you my manual on how to build link wheels, a method of
building a controlled search engine traffic. It's a very quick read, and something
you can implement as soon as you finished reading. In fact, once you master
the subject, you'll find a ready stream of clients to help build your funds. At
that stage you could outsource much of the work.
