4 Sales In 4 Days - Amazon Newb Kills It

I Just made my first 4 amazon sales with the Amazon affiliate program 1 pending for only about .30 cents but the one product that is pending is $99.99 so we'll see the final number soon. Ok so you may be wondering how did I do it?


Well I have to say that youtube is something powerful, as I type this my youtube video received about 284 views over the last 4 days and my amazon conversion was at a whopping 4% ! with 93 clicks and is continuing to rise.

So here is the deal, I was searching for some trends and I saw that black friday was coming up. So I thought I would throw up a campaign and send traffic to my blog I have setup on blogger.

I read a story that some people getting into fights at Walmart over stuffed animals so I thought to myself, make a video showing people arguing and fighting an big crowds and then simply provide a solution, SHOP ONLINE!

So here's what I did, I grabbed some pictures and made an intro saying something like "Want to avoid crowds like this" and then showed the picture of the crowds in the video. I then ended with a call to action to visit my landing page.

The great thing about this is that it is so simple if you catch the right amount of traffic at the right time. Most of my videos did not get that much traffic but if you use hot trends and then monetize that traffic with a related product or offer you will make money. If you also use some of the tags of popular videos that are related that helps also.

I'm gonna have to make a report on this because this is golden and simple. Demonstrate the problem with anything and provide the solution. CLASSIC! I'm going to try to make a detailed report once I continue testing this strategy. Throw a friend invite if you want to be the first to know about it.

In simple steps here is what you do:

Step 1: Go to google trends and find a trend

Step 2: make a video providing a solution to the trend or a related product to the trend. For example: If there was a the recent a shooting, find an affiliate program or product and a call to action to the solution.

Step 3: make a landing page that presells or talks about the trend and keep it simple: weebly,blogger, or wordpress, hubpages,squidoo etc..

Step 4:bookmark,rss,ping the landing page, I wouldn't even do keyword research,this works without it, Of course if you want you can but remember, trends come and go and speed is the key with this strategy.

Step 4:Rinse and repeat until successful

Congrats on being a newbie and making money. As of late, most newbie threads have been complaints about not being able to make money. Yet, here you are thinking outside the box, taking action and seeing success from those actions.

Great job, but you need to scale this to try to get more sales. Remember, if this works on a 4% commission item, it will work on a $40 CPA item, as well

Just as an aside, you should find some cheap Amazon products to promote as well. These items will convert better and sell a little faster so you will get up to 6% quicker. Then, when you sell a $1000 camera you will get paid 6% instead of 4%.

Or you could look at selling physical products via commission Junction or Share a Sale. Their commissions are generally higher.

Amazon is great especially at this time of year.
If you can get your cookies on as many peoples computers as possible (keeping in mind its only a 24 hr cookie), you can get some big sales as people are not only buying the product you recommend, but often placing much larger orders for many products. The power of Amazon lies in QUANTITY.

Great to hear good news about amazon. I tried them years ago with pay per click but because they pay out so little and adwords can be expensive I couldn't turn a profit. But video is free, once you own the equipment and software, so I guess that is a great way to go with amazon. Keep it up. Sell high ticket items from amazon also to make as much as you can.

Keep working it... not to pee on your party but I had a site kill it last month with 10% conversions and this month... died a death and dropped to under 2% from exact same amount of traffic.

Keep working... build diversity into your system.
