What's Your 2010 Internet Marketing Resolution?

Hi Warriors,

2009 is coming to an end ... and 2010 is fast approaching!

What have you achieved this year?

And what's your 2010 Internet Marketing Resolution / Goal?

Blessings,
Kelvin

My goal is to get back on my feet and start earning again.

Being in the US Navy and leaving for 6 months this year put a hurt on me. Usually sell off most my websites before I leave. The ones I left up got hacked so my sites were down for about 2 months and killed my income stream.

So now it is just back to making more sites and building them up.

    Resolution suck!

    They don't work.

The word alone already implies you'll fail... "Re - Solution".

I don't want to come back to the same problem year after year. Therefore, I implement New Years Solutions.

It's much better and doesn't start you off on a road to inevitable failure...

      Hi JaMo,

      Appreciate you chipping in there.

And I completely appreciate where you come from.

It's basically the case of if you don't understand the language you're using, then it's the "language using you".

      @All:

Going forward over the course of the next 12 months, what are your ULTIMATE targets / intentions / objectives?

Love this...as usual you kick ass...the truth serum report was a refreshing read.

Anyhow my New Years SOLUTION is to be at 250k annually by October 9th, 2010 (which is my 25th birthday). I'm getting there

      Cheers,

      Brad

Whenever anyone say's "happy new year", I often think to myself "I think you mean BETTER new year". It's unlikely one can be consistently happy for 365 days. I strive for each year to be better than the previous one - for more of those 365 days to be full of happiness and growth. Whilst I agree with the 'new years solution' way of thinking, I must admit I do like to think of a new year as a clean slate. I have learned lots in 2009 in terms of IM. I have made mistakes. I have had some successes. I have earned some money. I haven't earned anywhere near as much as I feel I should have. I plan on launching my first product in early 2010, in fact, I'm looking at launch it in the week before Valentines day(there's a method to my madness ). I want to be consistently making 4 figures a month at least. Above all though, I want to continue to grow, both in IM and personally

    I'm with JaMo.

Just do what you need to. The date on a calender won't make you more or less likely to do what's required.

Doh - this is my 6000th post - Maybe I should've been more profound

I don't make resolutions, but my goal is $250k - and the same on autopilot within five years.

It's weird. I think about my goals all the time, but I'm not inclined to share them here - what's the point? I'm already commited to them and they're nothing to do with anyone else.

        No resolutions for me.

I do have goals and objectives, and they all revolve around growing my business one step at a time. However there is no magic button that on Jan 1st I start doing anything, as I "do" all year and a new year is just another day.

If I was to pick one thing it though, it would be to move to Cali, live near the beach and throw wild parties filled with drunkenness and debauchery. I could do it here in Mass, but really doesn't have the same effect.

09 was when I was basically introduced to IM. My goal for 2010 is pretty simple, to continue my SEO gains, keep learning and set up the best wine related affiliate program out there.

Next year, I will stop procrastinating so much XP

In all seriousness, I'm shooting for 6 figures by August 2010 and to at least partly own my own place by the time I graduate in 2011.

Well it was on December 20th 2008, I decided I was done with 9-5 working for someone else and it was time for me to become successful on my own. Almost a year later, I've learned so much in business its incredible. What I didn't accomplish was actually doing everything I've planned on doing.

I have the business plan, the products, the help from people like all you guys on WF. I just haven't taken the actions required to become super successful. Thats my 2010 resolution, to TAKE ACTION!

Good thing I've already started on my resolution about a month ago. Got a little headstart this year .

My goal for the new year will be consistency first and foremost. I honestly believed had I would have to consistency I need it this year I would have been in a much better position than what I am currently in.

I believe I focused way too much on trying to do too many things at once. In the process and never focused on one thing and I ended up burning my bridges. I would've been focused and have to consistency necessary I would have a much bigger bank account right now.

The one thing I learned in 2009 is that I do not need to do so many things every single day. I don't need to work a gazillion hours nor do I need to do so much so quickly. The only thing I need to do is stay consistent with whatever it is I am doing. If I can stay consistent than I have no doubt I can reach five figure status in no time. Consistency is my number one goal for 2010 no matter what it takes.

Instead of a just making a resolution you should really put a plan of action together to achieve your resolution or a resolution means nothing!

My goal this year is summed up in one word:

      Diversify

I have been making pretty good money with affiliate products lately but it has started to make me a little concerned that all of my income comes from the same type of product and the same type of web site. These FTC regulations aren't really a worry for me but they do indicate to me that things are changing (as they always do) and I don't want to be stuck out in the rain.

So this year I will be focusing on branching out in other directions:

      • Creating my own information products (I've got a great one coming out that I'm really excited about.)
      • Using another type of linking besides the backlink packs. They seem to be getting very popular and I can see the writing on the wall... so, I bought a premium membership to Ezinearticles and I'm submitting 3-5 articles per day there (and other directories) in order to spread out my backlinks better. And good old forum marketing.
      • I now have a full-service web hosting company setup (what an adventure that is!)
      • I've started adding 1-2 adsense sites to my portfolio per week. So far, I'm raking in tons of money: $1.39 or so a day
      • I've started helping people build blogs, done a little mentoring, and some offline marketing and list-building
Those are pretty much it for 2010. It's going to be a great year.

I have never been a big fan of the term "resolutions" but I think goals are important.

Even better, why wait another 31 days until 2010. Everyday is a new day to be comitted to your aspirations. Why does it have to be a "new year?"

BTW.. what happened to the last 10 years. It seemed to take forever to finally get to year 2000 and now the decade is over in a few weeks.

    Go figure.

My 2010 resolution is to get into gear and start making money. I've been "staring" at the possibilities of how to make money and I know what to do, I've just got to get my butt in gear and get it done. To add to that my goal is to be out of the current job I'm in right now by becoming successful at affiliate marketing or finding another job that I like. But hopefully because I become successful at affiliate marketing.

Why wait for a turn in the date to get into focus? Motivation should be 365/yr
