Article Marketing - My Resource Box Sucks, Help Make It Better

Hi warriors, I am having some problems getting my resource box clicked. I just got into the get your ex back niche and have used the two resource boxes listed below but can't seem to be able to convert more than 6% which sucks.

Can you suggest something better?

Hi Yommy

To me both of the resources are too sales like. You know that you want to sell them a product but your visitor is just trying to solve their problem.
Work on finishing your article with a cliff hanger that will get the visitor with this problem clicking through.

e.g.

"I know of at least 5 sure fire ways to help you get your ex back. Learn more here www.yourwebsite.com"

Also I do not think that "tricks" is a good phrase in this context. You do not want to trick anyone into falling back into love.

Off the top of my head:

"Did you know that most relationships can be saved - even after a bad breakup? It's just a matter of making the right moves in the days following the split. Find out what they are before it's too late..."

Your resource box may be a little wordy and sales like. The reader has to go through all that before they get to your link.

Yommy this will instantly increase your click through rate...

the thing is your link is 'hard to find' you need to make it stand out, that means

Use small chunks of text such as 1 sentence paragraphs and short powerful phases

Then use some formatting - bold, italics and underline to draw readers to your link(s)

Here's an approach I usually take, this is actually from an article that after several hundred views is holding a consistent 55-60% CT rate

This sort of setup obviously is for the penis enlargement niche BUT you can apply the same basic principal to any niche. I use it and regardless of context every article I publish is getting a 25% minimum CT but usually more in the 30-40% range.

Basic formula I use? First paragraph is a continuation of the article but kind of hints to your own experience. The second paragraph tells them that you have an all-encompassing resource waiting just a click away. This particular one I've pasted has a first paragraph that's more selly than I usually make them but hey, it's working very well.

I think kenj gave good advice. Also Branlan17's was good, as well. One thing you may want to do is have the resource box kind of be an extension of the article itself, while including your link in the first two lines.

Also, to add on to the above resources box. Your article need to be written for them in a well structure way, without it, your CTR may not be as high as you ever wanted.

Yes - I agree with others; short and simple seems to work best with the call to action given straight away. I also think it is important to make the resource box seem as though it is a continuation of the article itself rather than a separate element. I also find that giving away a free report, etc. helps to insure a higher CTR.

The second one should work, but only if the articles are about reconciliation. Anything else, and it might backfire on you.

Don't worry about it being salesy, that is what a resource box is for. Just make the article pure content, and you should be good to go.

I've several articles with more than 25% CTR.I use this method always and it'll never disappoint me!!

How I Got More Than 20% Clickthru For Ezinearticles

My other articles are averaging from 17-20% CTR.

And please don't use the "1 sentence tactic" like:

"Want to have a successful life without any sickness and diseases, then CLICK HERE"

The most I've got using this tactic is 5% CTR.It sucks like hell!! But I'm not sure for others. Keep on trying and testing!!

I would make it appear as if the resource box is just the conclusion of the article. Something like this:

Of course, there is one other thing you can do if you're serious about getting your ex back. However, you need to be prepared for the results because your ex will be back in no time. If you do take the advice at THIS LINK, you need to be ready to be back in that relationship again TOMORROW.

Thanks to everyone, I will keep testing and see which resource box converts better. However, I have another question and don't want to start a thread of it.

Are there warriors who are making some niche money ( at least $500 ) per month in the get your ex back niche.

I know it is a desperate niche but weight loss is also a desperate niche but it never convert for me.

I used to be in this niche until it started getting uber competitive - I was making more than $500/month. You can make some good money here if you can write with compassion. These people are hurting and if you don't come across like you care, you won't get far.

As far as landing pages go, I have forwarded them on to blogs that discussed the problem in more detail, review sites that offered the top 3 Clickbank ebooks, a squeeze page that offered a free report, and direct linking to the vendor's page.

I found that forwarding them on to a blog with more information worked well for me. The review site did not convert as well, and the squeeze page/auto responder was short lived because it is, in many cases, a short lived problem.

Direct linking also did ok with a 100 hops per sale average.

I am sure there is still money to be made, but I honestly wrote everything I could think of in the niche a hundred times over. It was getting monotinous.

The niche converts alot better, at least to me, when selling from an auto responder - Same with products like fat loss 4 idiots and others in the weight loss realm.

I make an average of about $700.00 per day but I have my own product in this niche ( no affiliates ). I would say that it is a small-to-medium scale operation.

But... I am only a few days away from taking a deep dive into a "penis enlargement" ocean. Oooooo... it is going to be exciting!

Speaking of "Magic of Making Up" it appears that the owner, T. D. himself, has been "pumping" rather significant numbers of articles on the net lately.
