Affiliate Marketing 101 - Newbie

Okay, I know lots of people had posted stuff about affiliate marketing on clickbank and I just had set-up my clickbank account.

Incase anyone is willing to guide me through again, what are the best steps, tips, and strategies in order to generate traffic and sales?

One of the things I am doing is to make a blogspot and have keywords then put in the clickbank link on the bottom.

Hope you guys can give me tips on how to do clickbank. If anyone can post a link of an entry here about clickbank strategies, pls do let me know.

There are many ways to make money and drive traffic to a clickbank offer. I'd suggest trying a couple methods at the same time, then track the results to see what is working for your specific niche. There are many, MANY ways to promote and often all methods do not work for all niches.

That's something to remember. You might not be able to monetize certain niches with articles, and some will not be too video friendly. Exercise is VERY video friendly, while, as well as Guitar, while those are not as "article friendly".. It's easier to DEMONSTRATE these niches on video, such as how to play the guitar, than write out the movements.

So find what that market responds to then give it to them the way they want to see it.

Affiliate marketing of clickbank product is good but clickbank is not the be all and end all for affiliate marketing. About 1% of my marketing involves promoting anything from there. The rest is through places like cj.com, shareasale.com, linkshare and independant affiliate programs.

When it comes to clickbank and blogspot - my best results have been when I wrote simple reviews, added a few user comments taken from forums and then inserted my affiliate link. Having an image of the product helped (and a few stars for a rating).

Writing random articles with good content rarely converted to sale for me (although I'll admit maybe I could have been writing them better plus maybe I was targetting crappy non-buyer keywords).

Good luck fella... and try checking out Casey Gentiles ebook - it's pretty good for starting out and free.

This may seem unconventional and deal with offline marketing, but try this out once you get about 50.00. Once you have managed to make a sale from clickbank using free methods take the specified amount and run a one liner in the back of a weekly tabloid paper. The goal is to send them to a message line where they will then be directed to your squeeze page. These tabloids have a huge weekly circulation and you can generate a nice amount of opt-ins to your list which will then result in more income. You can then wash rinse and repeat. Sounds crazy, but it works and it is very cheap to run. If you want to know more then I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. I'm beginning to pull away from using free methods and have been testing several cheap marketing methods.
