How To Manage An Army of Affiliates

Hey all,

I was wondering if any info product or affiliate managers would share some great tips on how to motivate and get affiliates off their bumps and out there marketing your product. How do you stand out to affiliates in a competitive niche? What training do you provide to them that works best? What tools work best to get them to contact their list?

Thanks,
-SL.

The number one way to get them into action : high commissions. Seriously, you can be the most motivational affiliate manager in the world, but if your sellers are getting a commission that's so low that they are only willing to 'try out' selling for you, you won't reach maximum profits.

I really think giving a generous commission is the key. You can increase the commission rate 10% so you are only making a small amount of money on your affiliate programs, because you know that if the affiliates are profiting they are going to get bit by the lust bug and kick up the sales.

I know this is brief, and there could be a lot more said on motivating affiliates, but I think you'll get some more responses on this thread dealing with the other aspects of it.

High commissions help, but even better are high recurring commissions. If I know I only have to make a handful of sales that will pay me a lot over and over again, I'm in.

I've basically heard from potential affiliates that they want:

    -Highest in the niche commission
    -Generous cookie length
    -A site that actually converts

    Pretty basic, no?
