1shoppingcart's new 1-click upsell feature

Does anyone know when they're set to release this feature in their API?

The last I heard, it was going to go Live sometime in December. But as far as I know, they never set an official date.

Anyone know?

      Sherman,
From what I understood, this feature will be available in the Pro account. So if you already have a pro account at 1shoppingcart, it will be built-in... once the mystery release date comes.

anyone got the inside scoop 'bout this?

I received an invite yesterday from 1SC to a webinar they are having today (12/2/09) on this feature. If you are a 1SC subscriber, check your email for your invite. They ask for merchant ID when registering, so I don't know if non-subscribers can attend this one.

    Hey Deb,
Can you send me the link to that? I must have missed that email or deleted it by accident.

    Thanks,

OK - how about if you PM me - I don't have enough posts to PM you OR to add the link to this message.

If you include an email address in your PM, I'll forward the email to you.

And I guess I should get more active on the Forum already, huh? ;-D

    Hello All,

The webinar was today and we'll be posting an announcement in the next couple days.

Upsell Express goes live December 9th and the basic version will be available at no cost for everyone subscribed to the Professional package. There are two upgrade options of Upsell Express available that increase the number of offers you can present to each customer checking out.

    Cheers,

I agree... Nanacast is a much better system in my opinion. I have used both and am truly impressed with the power Nanacast has to offer.

Including one-click upsells... plus continuity bumps built in right out of the box.

This is going to be a HUGE boost to 1SC... having it built right into the system beats the tech setup headaches with Infusionsoft.

(I still love Infusionsoft, but a lot of people don't need all the features)

Just got off the phone w/1SC sales and here's the real catch to this. If you have a pro account you get Upsell Express for free BUT you can only create 10 "funnels" as they call it. What that means is if you have 20 products on your site only 10 of them could have upsells or downsells behind them. That sucks. And to make it worse if you have more then 1 website you still only get 10 funnels - total. NOT 10 per site, 10 per account. That really sucks.

If you want unlimited funnels and unlimited amount of up/downsells behind your products you have to pony up $99 a month on top of what ever cart package you already pay for.

Seems to me like they should have thrown in Upsell Express unlimited for free for the Pro account users instead of DOUBLING our monthly bill just to add 1 feature...

I was really excited about this last night when I found out about Upsell Express since I'm shopping cart shopping but now I'm not so sure. I'm gonna go look around.

        Hey Fred,

To be honest with you, that is why I am using Nanacast. I just signed up and I'm extremely impressed so far. You can create unlimited upsell's and down sales, and much much more.

Plus, the main feature that I like that 1sc did not have is I can create subscriptions with PayPal. So, overall it just becomes a better solution for me. Plus they have membership management and so much more.

I would highly suggest you check it out.

        Talk soon,

    Hi Fab/Shannon,

I respect your opinion on Nanacast. There are a ton of services out there and they all can serve their respective user's needs in one way or the other.

The reason I wanted to post was to just clarify how the Upsell Express packaging works and what the differences are between the basic version included in the pro, the multi-step and the unlimited versions.

First, all Professional users will receive the basic version of Upsell Express at no additional cost. The basic version comes with all of the major features of Upsell Express including fully customizable offer pages, funnel split testing and all of the same reporting the other versions include such as offer conversions, funnel conversions and funnel history snapshots (so you can always keep track of the best peforming combination of offers in a funnel).

With the basic version you will be able to create as many offers as you would like and those offers can be structured into 10 different funnels and each of those funnels allows you to display one upsell offer with a downsell. If you choose to split test a funnel, then each channel can have one upsell and one corresponding downsell. The funnels themselves are triggered in two different ways either 1) based on certain products the customer orders in their initial transaction or 2) a default funnel that can be triggerd to every customers if they happen to order products that are not related specifically to a funnel. The nice thing is that you can choose multiple products that can trigger the same funnel and if the customer orders any one of those products you defined, they will be sent through the funnel after checkout. This means that each funnel can be related to more than one product at a time, which helps if you want to present the same series of offers (aka. funnel) to customers who order one of a group of products. So if you had 20 products you could still make it so that you can send every customer through a funnel even though you are limited to 10 funnels. Plus for those products where you don't define a specific funnel you can simply choose to use the "default" funnel as your catch all.

We feel that the amount of power packed into the basic version will suit a large number of our user's needs and that is why we chose to include it with the Pro package.

The Multi-Step is the basic version plus it allows you you to have up to 3 upsells and 3 downsells in each funnel. This version is best for those of you who have multiple offers to make to each customer after their order and generally if you are in this situation, you would only need 1 or 2 of those offers to convert in a month to cover the additional $49.50/month. At the end of the day this all comes down to ROI and we feel that the amount of opportunity you have by using Upsell Express will very quickly and easily cover the additonal cost of this feature. And for those who aren't quite there yet, the basic version will help you learn how to best structure your offers so that when you are ready to upgrade to the Multi-Step version you will already know the cost will be covered based on your performance with just a single offer. We know this is the case because one of our beta testers was able to covert upwards of $60,000 of just upsell orders within the "Multi-Step" version in just 6 short weeks, which is an amazing ROI on a $49.50/month product.

The Unlimited version is for the true power user who wants to have more than 10 funnels and/or more than 3 upsells and downsells in each funnel. Again, if you have the need for this many funnels and offers then it should only take a couple conversions to cover the cost of adding the Unlimited version to your account.

Thanks for listening and hopefully I've been able to provide some additional information to help you make your decision. If there is anything I can help with just PM me (include your email addy as I am not able to send a reply via PM in the forum).

    Cheers,

    Justin

The main problem I see is you can't do an amember membership with this new feature. So if you have continuity, it might be a problem. If any knows of a fix for this let us know.

        Hi Covert,

Amember memberships can be sold in conjuction with the Upsell Express feature, just not on the post-sale page.

The Amember integration requires the customer to first go to your Amember registration page so that the customer can create their username and password for your membership product. Once the customer fills out the Amember form they are directed to your 1SC order form to complete their payment. After they complete their payment for th Amember membership you can trigger a funnel for any complimentary (non-amember) products and service.

So as long as you are selling the Amember membership product up front you can still trigger upsell funnels on the back-end.

        Cheers,

        Justin

Shame ( on 1shoppingcart and thankful to Warrior Forum)I had to come here to have adequately explained the upsell express limitations etc.

On the page with features and pricing on 1sc it says
'Upsell Funnels to display multiple offers to each customer' with a big tick.

That implies to me, you can upsell 'multiple' times. I guess one initial sale plus one upsell, KIND of, is multiple, but after a year of paying for the pro package and not using the upsell feature or the affiliate feature, when I finally get around to setting one up and it tells me, 'oh no you have to give us more if you want THAT feature,' that I thought I already had, well that sucks.

Thanks to Justin for explaining in detail here, wish 1sc had of done the same thing on their site when I was signing up.
