How do you track/guage the effectiveness of your articles?

Hi all -
I'm new here and already love the forums and learning and absorbing. Good stuff! Fun stuff!

At any rate, I'm really looking into marketing and articles (more specifically). I've read of the plethora of sites to submit your articles too etc etc. However how do you track the effectiveness of your articles in terms of driving traffic to your site? or can you? If you submit to 100, 200, or 300 directories and submit a few articles a day or week, how do you know which articles are the most effective? Or do you not concern yourself with that and just track how effect article submission (in general) is to driving traffic to your site?

Lastly these are trivial questions and a I apolozie:
2) how often do you re-submit the same article for circulation?
3) I've read people say they submit 3-5 articles a day. Does this mean you're writing up to 25 new articles each week? Or re-submitting some of the same ones a few days later?

Thanks again for your patience. There's much for me to learn and I'm absorbing it all in.

Best Regards!

Well, one way to measure effectiveness is to see which article gets the most resource box clicks relative to the total views. On average this should be 15%. Good articles can get 30-35%.

As for people who submit 3-5 articles a day, some are probably spinning their old articles while others are using fresh articles. Outsourcing the work is the way to go once you've had some success.

If you have a server and are using cpanel you can use AWSTATS to judge the effectiveness of your articles. Your own traffic stats tell you a great deal when you look at them ...

People do not submit the same articles to the same article directory. Once submitted to that directory then you can submit the same article to other directories.
