    Interestingly, Jim pointed out a few very specific examples during the interview and the FTC dude said they were not cool...

    At least two of those sites and specific examples are unchanged as of yet...

      Lol, it's one thing to say that you are going to comply and praise the FTC for their efforts. It's a whole other thing entirely when you make those changes and see your sales rate drop drastically.

      There is no substitute for a good testimonial. That's basic copywriting 101. A lot of visitors will skim your site looking for testimonials and when they don't find them they will leave.

      Richard Cleland's answer to this is to "just come up with a better sales letter". This coming from a guy who has been working at the FTC since 1991 and probably has no experience selling anything.

      Nope, that's not enough. The disclaimer would have to be either above the affiliate link or right next to it.

      Consumers must be able to see the disclosure when they are viewing the endorsement and at the point of the link to the seller's website.
