How does Google measure your backlinks?
I have doing some research on keywords and when I'm checking out the top websites with different Alexa/Pr rank/link checkers they show different results. Espaccilally with the links.
Some tools only use Google links, others use totals of Google - Yahoo - Msn - dmoz - Altavista together, and some use average numbers calculated by the total amount of backlinks divided by the amount of directories and search engines they found them on.
So I was wondering how Google is reading your website? What methode are they using? When you take the examples above you have three totally different numbers for one site.
Anybody?
Cheers
