How do you price your Clickbank marketplace products?

I am selling a $27 product through my web site.

If I put it into the Clickbank marketplace what is the best margin to give affilliates, considering Clickbank probably will take a cut for a sale.

I'd like to be able to make some money this way, but it is a new area for me.

The higher split you offer your affiliates, the more time and effort they will spend promoting the product... assuming it's a good sales page and product.

When I put up a new product on CB - I always start with 75% split for affiliates to see how it's going to convert and how many affiliates jump on it and start promoting it.

Wow - 75% - that does not leave the seller with much

Between 50 and 75% is a good starting point.

The price of your product should be relative to the value you are giving in one way or another, your best affiliates will take a little lower percentage if they know your product delivers and converts quite well

Thanks for all your replies - very helpful.

Is there a special sales page you need to create - What I mean is how does it need to work with the affilliate ID? Or do you just create a generic sales page with a buy now button and Clickbank does the rest?
