Google Audio Indexing - The future?

Hi Guys,

I just stumbled upon this today and I'm wondering if it catches on will we be doing voice keyword market research in the future???

"Google Audio Indexing is a new technology from Google that allows users to better search and watch videos from various YouTube channels. It uses speech technology to find spoken words inside videos and lets the user jump to the right portion of the video where these words are spoken"

GAUDI: Google Audio Indexing

Pretty cool stuff!!

I'm just wondering what sort of technology will be prevalent in the world the next generation. Even 10 years ago, this would have been something out of a star trek episode, now it's here among us.
I guess just fasten your seatbelt and enjoy the ride.

    Yeah it's impressive ain't it?

I'm thinking of it down the track where we "speak" our keywords in the video and they get indexed.

Brings a whole new meaning into keyword density.

    Spoken keyword density.

Of course there are big issues still to overcome. For example different languages, or "variations" of languages e.g. I am Australian!

But over time I am sure they will make dramatic improvements.

I will be watching it keenly to see where I can profit with the technology.

    Cheers

    Tim
