Article Keyword Research Suggestions and Help

I am new to this forum this week and have already learned so much - thank you all (but I'm still a newbie so here are my questions):

When doing good keyword research for articles, I've been using the Google Keyword tool (the adwords keyword external program they have) (seems like a good place to start, right?)

I'm trying to get about 100 keywords (keyword phrases) to begin with, in my niche then start writing an article for each one, and also produce a short video too. But I'm a little confused on how to proceed.

Let's say my niche was Training Puppies. I look at Google's keyword tool and get a bunch of keywords, I grabbed some numbers from Google for example (and I realize their numbers are rough):

Puppy Training 368k (searches per month)
Puppy Train 90k
Training Puppies 74k
How To Train A Puppy 50k
you get the picture...

1. Is this how some folks do their keyword research, then write an article starting with the most searched keyword phrase, then work your way down? An article with ...Puppy Training in the title, then the next article has the next keyword phrase in the title?

2. How do you write separate articles for each keyword (let's say I have 50 very similar keyword phrases), the topics are so closely related.

3. I'm assuming that good article writers will include each separate keyword phrase in the title of the article, and probably in the anchor text, in addition to making sure it shows up in the article a few times too - right?

4. I'm going to also create short videos for each keyword phrase too, but a little unsure how to produce so many short videos? Quick screen videos (camtasia) going over the article, perhaps powerpoint? Perhaps me talking about for a few minutes on camera for each keyword phrase?

Suggestions???? Thanks in advance

boaterscott, you might want to check out my WSO http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-show-you.html I usually don't self-promote, by i was talking about exactly those things in it, so you might be interested.

Its NOT done with simply looking for the "highest search volume" - because what really counts is actually the competition and likelihood to rank your keyword. Google keyword tool does not really return those important numbers.

    2) Where is the problem? If you have a good niche and a range of keywords, you just write a whole bunch of "similar" articles using the next keyword. Yes, the articles will be similar..but still not a big deal

    3) Yes, but there is also a few rules in regards to titles and the article. Mention the keyword and related keywords in the article but keep keyword density below 2%.

Thanks for the quick reply, I will check out your WSO. Oh, one thing I didn't say is that I've also been using Google's WonderWheel to locate the keywords that are relevant to Google. Anyone use this (it's found under the little tab on the left "options"
