EZA 'general problem' - how long before they get back to you?

Of the articles I have submitted this week, 2 have come back with a 'General problem' and EZA have sent me an E-Mail to ask me to contact them for more information. One of these was on Monday, and I still haven't heard back from them  Without wishing to sound critical, would it not be easier for the editor to just quickly write in the E-Mail what the problem is so I can rectify it straight away then resubmit it? With the first article, I mentioned a couple of celebrities by name when illustrating a point, I'm assuming that's what the problem is, but I won't find out until they get back to me. This seems a strange way of doing things to me - has this happened to any of you? How long before they get back to you usually?

YES.It happened to me a couple of times. They'll take weeks or sometimes won't care to reply your email. One of my article took about 1 month plus to get approved.lol

When I got the email for the 1st time, I kindly replied them and asked what's the problem with my article? Guess what? I got a reply after a few days saying "We're sorry.Your article was mistakenly regarded as problematic article". lol

And for the second time, I got it because of my own mistake. Here's the exact situation. I wrote an article like the following way:

Title: Top 3 Ways To Blah Blah...

    Definition of Blah Blah

Top 5 Ways To Blah Blah

    Tip #1

    Tip #2

    Tip #3

    Conclusion

Can you figure out my mistake? There's a simple typo there.I wrote 5 instead of 3 in the body of the content.

1st they rejected the article and asked me to contact them. I send them an email but didn't get any reply after 2 weeks.

Then I sent them another email and waited for 2 weeks more but still there were NO replies.

And finally in my 3rd attempt, I got a reply after a few days. They mentioned about the "typo" that I wrote above and asked me to correct it.

Now the question is, IF THEY CAN SPOT A SIMPLE TYPO in my article, WHY can't they correct it? I heard that they'll correct some basic grammatical mistakes in your articles and why can't they CORRECT a simply typo that obviously a 6 years old kid can NOTICE?

Again,I didn't blame them.I just kept my mouth shut and didn't say anything. It was my mistake anyway.

Here's my suggestion. If your articles are put in the problem status category and if they asked you to contact them, just send them the email and FORGET about it. Don't think about it and move on to your next article.Keep on submitting your articles.

Recently I noticed that,EZA tend to approve articles with more than 400 words in 7 days unless you're a PLATINUM account holder.Usually they'll take more than 10 days to approve my articles because of the word count (250-300). 2 of my articles with 800 and 450 words count respectively were ACCEPTED in 5 days. It's the first time I'm seeing this and I submitted my articles on FRIDAY. Guess they want lengthy articles nowadays.

Hope this will help you mate!!

Thanks for the detailed reply, ebizman Yeah, my approach has been not to stress about it and keep on submitting. I'm a Platinum member so hopefully they'll get back to me soon. I have also had a couple of articles come back to me this week with 'not enough original or informative content'. I disagreed, but added some more info and they were approved very quickly. I really don't want to criticize EZA, but I do sometimes wonder if these things are often a result of fussy/new editors. Onwards and upwards though

    Liam,

Once I submitted 30 artilces...........29 approved within 4 days. The one had issues.... and it took FOREVER for the editor to respond. Once I corrected the one article to be approved it still took a while. Maybe 3 weeks total for 1 article.
