What is Your Honest View About Goarticles?

To ma, their layout is crap! I don't know whether I am wasting my time posting there. It so unfriendly to the eyes.

I like the fact affiliate links can be inputted but they need to read the article first!

Do you get traffic? I want your opinions here. Lets send it to them for they are a PLR 6 site!

Like a lot of the other article directories, you won't get a great deal of traffic from the site itself(at least, not in my experience) but if you write good articles and put in the effort to backlink and promote them, the sky is the limit Being able to put in affiliate links is a nice bonus too.

It's definitely not as polished as EZA. But, it does serve it's purpose. It's a decent amount of traffic, and they are more forgiving of affiliate links and such.

They have been my second favorite article directory going on five years now. Have hundreds of articles on there.

I use GA for some of my niches...but I think their choice to immediately publish articles without reviewing them, and the fact that they allow direct affiliate links, is going to hurt them in the long run.

That doesn't nevessarily mean they are going to crash, but it could mean they will not prosper as much as they could.

Yes, I do get traffic (for these particular niches) or I would have stopped submitting to them long ago.

Substantial is a subjective term. You and I may have two totally different ideas of what substantial is.

So yes, I would call it substantial.

My traffic is prequalified by the article itself. So my conversion ratios are very high for the traffic coming from GA. I don't concentrate on the click-through stats because if they are not going to purchase something, I don't want them to click-through and that is made pretty clear in the article. I get enough organic traffic directly to the site via SEs - which could very well be a by-product of using GA (among others).

With rare exceptions, I find the traffic flow from GoArticles minimal *unless* you engage in promotion of the articles (backlinking, bookmarking, etc.).

I also question the real value of the links you get from GoArticles in terms of boosting SERPs. However, a quick GoArticle submission does tend to help get new sites/individual pages indexed fairly quickly and reliably.

GoArticles articles are pretty ugly, too. I can't imagine that they're actually read as often as articles published on sites with nicer formatting and presentation.

Let's face it. If GoArticles was half as good as EzineArticles, it would be a first choice for many people because of the absence of restrictions and its nonexistent editorial bar.

It can serve a few purposes and the fact that they'll publish anything makes it handy to repurpose content for backlink building, etc. (though, again, I don't really know how much those GoArticles backlinks are worth...), but it doesn't compare to EzineArticles in terms of traffic production or subsequent syndication, for that matter.

It's more of a "little helper" than a "powerful tool," in my opinion.

I think EZA is still best in breed because of their restrictions, even though those same restrictions can be a pain in the neck sometimes.

As for Go, I've never really seen any good traffic from them, but the PR 6 backlink is sure nice and I do think their articles respond more quickly to backlinking then EZA does(my short experience only)

I used GoArticles to test the idea of article marketing. I published 9 articles and received 310 visits to the url in the signature box. This translated into several new adverts on an advertising site that I have ticking over. Not bad for three weeks - and I am still getting visits from them.

Why do you need an answer?

The whole point of IM is that you test things and

Certainly posting to GA is not going to harm you in any way, and probably at worst will only give you a small SERP boost through the backlinks.

Perhaps....it will give you some targeted traffic too.

      TEST, TEST, TEST!

We don't know what niches you're talking about, how you lay out your articles etc...so most of the key information is lost to us.

Why don't you test 10 articles on GA and come back and tell us the results

They do serve their purpose and you can put a link in the body and not just the author area..where EZA limits you.
Your percentage of clicks decreases when you have multiple adsense ads going on EZA.
Look what articledashboard did. It is horrendous.
    I stopped using them.

Goarticles is nice b/c they allow you to include links in the body of the article BUT the articles require massive and frequent backlinking effort to stay up on 1st page of G for competitive keywords .. just my experience.

I have actually made over 200.00 dollars from leads that I only got paid less than 4.00 a lead for from a single goarticle article. I had to backlink and promote it, but the money I made back was well worth the time spent.

Pagerank is a PAGE rating, not a SITE rating.

The home page of Goarticles may be PR6, but your article there will have PR nothing, as in "unranked".

I do not like the layout, but I have seen some decent traffic from them. I still think that ezinearticles and articlesbase are currently the two best directories.

I see more of my articles rank in the search engines from these two article directories.

One thing that go articles doesnt have over ezine is that it has no internal linking structure at all.

Ezines can get you ranked highly if you get enough views or publishes because of all the internal links they hook you up with.

I like GA and think it is a great service. However most IMers are pushing eza and you get a lot more traffic from this one. That said, eza is now pushing a membership model that requires you to pay. I guess in the long run that is the way.

You can literally almost post anything on Goarticles but that doesn't mean that it's bad. At least Ezine will take the time, look over your stuff and decide to approve it or not when you're just starting out.

Goarticles is a great little directory. There are less traffic holes than ezinearticles. You probably won't get very much "in directory traffic"(compared to ezine), but promoting it is when the real money starts to flow.

GoArticles is said to be the #2 article directory next to Ezine. I have the popularity of article directories in chronological order:

EzineArticle, GoArticles, ArticleDashboard, SearchWarp, ArticlesBase, iSnare, SelfGrowth, Buzzle, ArticleCity, IdeaMarketers, ArticleAlley, Web-Source, SelfSEO, Amazines, ArticleTrader, SearchGuild, WebWorldIndex, ArticleSphere, BusinessKnowHow, PromotionWorld, ArticlesFactory, ExcellentGuide, ContentDesk, ArticleCube, AfroArticles, ArticleBiz.

Although I am also seeing more and more in Google ranking ArticleSnatch, FindArticles, ArticleInsider and EHow.

I like GoArticles, myself. Along with ArticlesBase, I can get my articles published very quickly without having to go through the editorial queue. That way, even while I am waiting for EZA to approve my articles, they've already been published and indexed and are pumping traffic.
