It depends on your sense of humor I guess. I would also dislike the headline, but personally I would have clicked through.

Disgusting headline. Instant unsubscribe from me.

I blew off the headline for two reasons:

      1. I've been getting this guy's stuff since he appeared on the scene, and his sense of humor can indeed get weird. So when something falls flat, like this headline, I forget about it and look for the content because

      2. The guy's content is usually rock-solid and based on real world testing.

If one clumsy headline makes you unsubscribe, it's your loss...

        Hi,

If you're going to post link-bait on your blog, at least have some class. At least come up with something a bit less tenuous than that connection with the FTC story.

Great way to advertise his absolute desperation in trying to find something noticeable to post about so he can plug his price-rise on his 'hyper responsive marketing secrets' gig. Bad advertising. Lazy, uncreative writing.

Lame fail, making himself look like a hopeless newb. Makes the Rich Jerk look classy with his 'I'm rich, you're not, loser' tagline.

Truthfully, I am not surprised that was his headline. I unsubscribed from his list a long time ago.

The guy is overly obsessed with Surveys, Excel Spreadsheets and teaching how to make money from obscure niches which have little back-end opportunity and low competition, which makes JVs hard. (Guinea Pigs, etc.)

Some information is good, but you have to sit through 45 minutes of mp3 interviews to get 10 minutes worth of quality content.

When it comes to PPC Training I much prefer Perry Belcher and Ryan Deiss.

Different strokes for different folks. I'll take my wisdom where I find it, including from Belcher and Deiss.

I would agree with you about Livingston if we were talking about his early niche marketing methodology. You can actually get about 80% of the benefits from 20% of the method. His PPC stuff is much more usable.

I tend to prefer Livingston and Perry Marshall, but that may just be my engineering background talking...
