Squidoo and Clickbank

I have recently tried to utilize Squidoo to promote a clickbank product. I put one up a few days ago, submitted it to digg, reddit, squidu forum and its been indexed by google.

Since I put it up, I have gotten 10 visitors, most likely people I referred to it. Does anyone have any tips to help create more traffic to my lens? Thanks

    Hey,

I would put more content on it and more tags. You can add 40 tags, use them. Check other popular lenses in your niche and copy their tags. Also, use your keywords in headlines. Make more lenses, blogs and hubs and link to your main lense.

If I remember something else, I'll let you know.

    Try Google's keyword tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Try to SEO your lens and get into the top 10 results for those keywords. Keep working on your lens and posts it in forums and basically get the word out. Good luck!

Build backlinks and traffic for your lenses by submitting articles to various article directories. You can also blog about them on your site or blog if you have one.

You can also create a hub in hubpages, a free wordpress blog and a blogger blog. Then link to your main squidoo lens with your main keywords. Ping the rss feeds of everything you make (wordpress, blogger, hubpages etc.) and you might get higher rankings for your lens.

Forget tags as far as the "40 tag list" section. Tag pages are now nofollow in Google since Jan '08. BUT, still do your keyword research and use your "tags" in your URLs, titles, subtitles, and content. Do NOT leave the existing module names like "Guestbook" in there - utilize that space to say, "{Keyword Phrase}: What's Your Take on It?" or whatever...

Tags in the tag list only serve INNER Squidoo searches, which is okay, but doesn't do squat for Google anymore. It's a shame because tag pages used to have high PR and it was GREAT to take time filling in those 40 spots.

For traffic - stumbleupon. Get others giving your lens a thumbs up and if you're using your lens like an ad space, stop it. Give good quality articles and weave your hyperlinks in there - people will follow.

Are you saying to delete the guestbook and put a new module of some sort in there in it's place? What would you consider the essential modules to KEEP in a lens? I started to play with SQUIDOO and there just seems to be a lot with the modules.
      Thanks

She is saying to remove the title as just saying "Guestbook" and change it to include your keyword.

I get some traffic from other higher ranked lenses with a PR because of these tags. I think it's worth it.

We have used Squidoo and Hub with some success for clickbank products. Also have been using Peter Drews Seo Software that has been dramatically increasing our sales and traffic.
