My amazing Warrior post prediction

11 replies
I received an email notification that someone
"has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to ..."

Before even visiting the thread I was able to know
information about the member who posted.

I'm sure you'd like to know the details of this impressive feat.

Here goes.

The email said that the message that had just been posted was

==> Thank you for sharing

and the information I correctly predicted about the member was

==> Posts: 1

Harvey

    Thank you for sharing

    Sorry, couldn't help it!

    That's one of the reasons I choose to not get e-mails for threads I'm subscribed to.

    They can obviously spot talent. How did they know to reply to your thread for their first ever post.

    Such valuable insight - I'm sure you're much better off after receiving these words of wisdom.

    Other priceless contributions include:

    - "I agree"

    - "Thank you for this information, it is useful to me"

    - "Yes"

    - (repeat OP word-for-word)

    I know it would be impossible to enforce, but perhaps the "50 posts" rule should be modified to read "50 posts of some actual value".

    Thank you for sharing Harvey!

      Harvey, please do not share my personal replies to your threads on this
      public forum. If you continue to do this, I will be forced to beat you with
      a wet noodle within an inch of your life.

      **NOTE** For anybody who is too dense to see it, this post is entirely
      sarcastic and meant as a joke.

      Sorry, had to say that with all the slug nuttys running around this place.

        Sorry, Steven. Under the new FTC guidelines, your disclaimer just doesn't cover it.

        You'll now be the prime suspect in any future unsolved pasta-related homicides.

    Erm ok what's wrong with the message "Thank you for sharing?" I assume the one who responded to Harvey's thread (assuming it was Harvey's thread) appreciated the info. Right?

    Thanks,

      It's more to the notion that they are posting "Thanks for sharing" as a way to get their post count up. So instead of being a contributing member you will see they're trying to catch up with Steven W. but yet all their posts are one-liners. There's no value. Now that the WF is paid status again though no matter how many one-liners they have they still can't run a WSO until they part with some cash. Not all one-liners are bad so to speak, there are many who post that exact same message and truly mean it.

      As a side note though - new members do not see the thanks button until approximately 5 posts have been made (found that out myself as a relative newbie).
