Internet Marketing Bachelors Degree...

Everything they teach you in that school I am sure with enough time and enough work you can learn from the forum and other various sources. Not being able to earn money while doing it lol sounds dumb to me.

The beautiful Full Sail University in Orlando Florida. That charges $54,000 for their online degree in internet marketing is asking you not to make money online? WTF?

I was going to take those classes too and since I don't qualify for any financial aid, I told them that I was going to make $$$ online in order to pay for their classes. Their answer?

SURE GO AHEAD!

Talk to your recruiter and tell him that you are paying for your classes with your internet marketing current skills and see how the song changes.

That sounds extraordinarily fishy to me.

Doesn't Harvard Business School, or any legitimate business school, welcome students who successfully apply what they learn to have better jobs and businesses even before they graduate?

Compare the cost of Full Sail tuition for a year's online only education, which is almost as much as, for example, UCLA's on campus MBA tuition, in one of the world's most high-tech business school campuses, in one of the world's most widely respected business schools in entrepreneurship, in one of the world's most important global business cities.

I would be very, very wary that the unique value of the Full Sail program is very well proven before considering that kind of money. Especially if it's true that, for no understandable reason, you're prohibited from using what you learn to pay for the education!

In pro audio-video forums, I see post after post of business owners lamenting that Full Sail cranks out generation after generation of people who know how to push the buttons, but that don't have the business perspective or client service skills that they would have got from any low-budget internship. Yes, some people have had great successes after graduating from Full Sail. But is that because they were already astute and motivated, or because of the education?

drop that course take omething else, I am sure everyone else will agree that the internet marketing landscape changes very rapidly and you can teach everything either from diligent research or taking a small 2 week course for under 5k. Get a degree there in another useful tactic that can compliment your internet marketing skills like management accounting, or something just not 55k worth of restricted classes

With how quickly things change online I am curious how they stay current...even in the last year methods and processes have changed...site have changed policies....

I have to agree with everyone else here...I commend wanting a degree...someday I will finish mine...once I have made enough online that I can pay for it outright.

Not being allowed to make money online while in the course..I think they may be afraid that if you start making money online you will see that they are really not helping you out.

Well i would say that every theory needs practical so while u r studying about internet marketing you can use that knowledge or skills to make money as a practical which can give you more confidence in course or study and make you more interested in what you are doing....

so thats not possible or they don't have rights to stop you making money while you are pursuing degree or even they don't have confidence on their course material so they are scared and that is why they don't allow you to use their techniques...LOL...

If you're dead set on going there, I think you are as dumb as a mud fence.

Full Sail is a proprietary school, meaning they are a business, in it for a profit, just like you want to be.

Having been around the proprietary school business for years, before the fed shut down most of them for financial aid fraud, I can say that I have never met a school operator that had the integrity of a used car dealer.

If they are willing to forego any income producing activities while you are enrolled there, it might be worth considering. Else, not.

I don't understand why they'd have that as a condition of attending anyway. Do they not want you "leaking" the stuff they'll be teaching you by incorporating it into your own business? And if so, isn't the whole point of attending so that you can use what they tell you in the first place?

If I were in your shoes, I would kindly thank them for their time and move on.

Is there a specific reason why you feel you need a degree in internet marketing? Unless you're planning to work for someone else, I really don't see why having a degree would be all that beneficial. In your own business, having the necessary skills and experience and being able to produce results matter more.
