Ezinearticles is on Twitter.

Twitter / EzineArticles

I follow them to find out what's going on at ezinearticles. I know, I know, a lot of people are miffed about the new premium membership thing, but I honestly think that if you submit a lot of articles it's worth it.

Thanks for that - I'm not a big fan of Twitter but I'll still follow this. I started using the Premium membership a few days ago and although I wasn't particularly happy at having to fork out $97 for a month, I'm liking the results .

Oh, do tell! How quickly are your articles getting approved?

3 hours was the slowest so far - for me it's worth it because I hate waiting. I'm not happy that I have to pay for something that I was always getting for free, but I do submit quite a few articles and I'm thinking I'll probably sign up for the year at the end of this month.

That's a steep monthly cost. I didn't know that. Not sure if I'll take advantage or not, although I do use Twitter.

I'll put it this way - if my 30 day article marketing challenge proves profitable for buildmylens, then I'll fork over $97 a month and increase my submissions. What were the perks again - I forgot? Faster turnaround? Is that all?

Someone had mentioned in a post yesterday that they will also be increasing the monthly membership to $197 month.

Now I don't know if they got that confused with the existing premium membership price of $97 a month or it's been increased to $197 month.

I think ezine is purposely approving all of my articles at once to make me want to fork over $97 a month.

Its causing me to have down periods of traffic followed by spikes. Let us know if the 97 is really worth it, I'm definitely curious!

3 Hours was the SLOWEST so far? My gosh - that's insanely quick!

Yup... I'm finding this an issue too....

They are getting to your name and just throwing all your articles through at once..

I honestly believe they are pushing it like this to make the membership stand out more..

It's leaving a bad taste in my mouth

I felt the same - I used to get my articles approved in 24 hours when I had Basic Plus, 3-4 days when I got to Platinum, and as soon as this premium membership was created I was waiting 6-8 days for acceptance (longer if an article was declined). I was getting 20-30 articles approved in one go!

I did feel like I was pushed into it, but article marketing is a big part of my marketing strategy so I guess for me it's worth it.

I know, I am very impatient, and the thing is, when I write a bunch of articles - each article basically represents traffic and money. So if I have to wait a week before any of my articles are approved - that's a week where I am missing out on traffic and money.

Just in case anyone wants to know - it's all about speed. If you were on a regular rotation of submission, this may not be enticing enough. But if you had some sort of product launch, it might be. I dunno...:

    With Premium Membership:

    * SPEED: Your articles will go the front of the line to be reviewed before non-premium level member article submissions.

    * SPEED: Your article submissions will be reviewed by a senior level member of our Editorial team.

    * SPEED: Your email questions to our Member Support ticket center will go to the front of the queue for priority response.

    * CONTROL: Submit your articles at one time and choose when each will be published with our Scheduled Release feature.

    Important Notes About Premium Membership:

    * Being a Premium member does not guarantee your articles will be accepted.
    * All article submissions must still meet our editorial guidelines.
    * You will not receive editorial favor of any kind.
    * We reserve the right to deny Premium service to any member at any time for any reason.
    * Being a Premium member will not impact or help your account level upgrades (Basic, Basic Plus or Platinum). The Platinum unlimited article submission level is earned with a history of trust over time and can never be bought.

Tiffany, I still think it's worth it even if you do submit regularly. I have seen a number of people here post saying that they submitted articles over the course of a week - and then all the articles were approved on the same day.

What would be ideal for me would be to write articles for them and have them approved and live within a few hours. If I have no articles approved for a week, and then they're all approved on the same day - it's like a waste of a week when I could have been earning money.

$97 is pretty high, and I wouldn't pay more than that, but I'm probably going to do it. I think the ROI is worth it.

Yeah me too.. I was very resistant but it looks like a perfect solution to the "problem".. albeit they created the problem for this reason but it is still a solution.. even if they are forcing us into it.

The thing is, there is no other article service that has given me the same traffic. I've taken the same original article...same subject...rewritten it five times...submitted it to five article directories on the same day...and gotten maybe a few visitors each from the other directories, but dozens from ezinearticles.

Associatedcontent.com does come close to Ezinearticles, I will admit. But not quite as good.

I just don't see any other good alternatives. I'm almost kind of glad ezinearticles is doing this, from a selfish standpoint, because they now have a lot of expert authors and I would rather see a bunch of them just give up. Sounds selfish, I know, but it's less competition for me.

You can include whatever links you like with each article, in the list of resources which appears next to the article. I put a link to my own website. Write a couple of articles for them and see what results you get; I've found it works well. I think you can also put links to your own website in the article, although I'm not sure.

I submit my articles to several directories all at once. Don't just wait for EA and don't buy a solution that was necessitated by a problem they created.

Hey Dana - tell you the truth I didn't bother with the premium submission. In the beginning it took 1 week to approve my articles and now it takes about 3 days.

The last time I got 6 articles approved in one shot. So I figure that's good enough.
