Almost ready to launch, just a few questions.

Hi everyone. I have some real quick questions before i finally push my campaign. Here is where I am at right now.

- I have my domain purchased and centered around my main keyword. It is hosted live and running.

- I have my entire niche figured out. To summarize in short, its a very broad niche in general, but I am focusing on all the infinite mini-niches inside this broad subject. With many plans laid out to start SMALL and build from there.

- I have many products picked out , lined up and ready to promote. With two in particular I will be focusing on ONLY for the first month or two.

- I have done extensive keyword research and have my article writing strategy and other marketing venture all planned and lined up. No PPC for me for awhile haha.

-I have an undying love and passion in my personal life for this niche, and MEGA experiance. So I will be genuine in what I promote.

-I have loads of experiance in Web Design, HTML, CSS and just about everything needed. With a flair for the visual with Photoshop!

-My girlfriend who is my partner in this venture is an experianced writer and already has content lined up.

Thats where I am, here is where I am confused.

1.I have a HUGE ultimate plan for my site, but want to start small and gradually build. When building my site, I am confused on how to go about this. What I mean is when putting it together do I put my personal part in it, and create a mega information/ blog/news/ and products site? And create TONS of other landing pages within my domain for each product I am promoting? Or would it be best to leave it non personal and make it a sales ONLY site with also lots of content? I hope that makes sense......its my one hang up on my venture haha.

2. When writing my articles/lenses/blogs etc, should I build a proper link to my own created landing page for said product or do I link it to the merchants site? Or both?

3. I am super confused about list building. I understand that you record the email addresses from people that purchase through you. But how does one go about finding that information, and build this "List" everyone talks about hahahaha. Thanks!

Thanks for reading. I have a few hang ups and would greatly appreciate any input. THANKS

You've got a lot going for you, Justin.

I think it's great that your girlfriend is working with you in the new venture.

Let's talk about first the ever-important but oh-so-mysterious list. This is just all the people who have decided to subscribe to receive email from you.

Use Aweber for the logistics, they're set up to handle the technical implementation more efficiently than you could.

When you sign up with aweber and create your list, they will tell you how to put code on your site. That code will have a small form where people can enter their name and email address. The form redirects to the aweber site.

If the person already signed up, aweber will tell them so.

For a new signup, you can send a message - typically a thank-you explaining that they need to check their email and, in case the ISP misdelivered the mail, their spam folder - for your first message. This first message will include a link they need to click, which will take them back to aweber with a message from you congratulating them for a successful signup.

The aweber autoresponder will then send a series of messages to the new subscriber, on a time schedule you determine.

After that, everyone gets your newsletter at the same time, no matter how long ago they signed up.

There are plenty of threads, tips and WSO's here that can walk you through all of that in more detail. You should be up to speed on the fundamentals within days.

A few twists: you could put the signup form on every page, in the header or footer. You could have a page that is just a sales letter promoting the sign-up ("squeeze page"). You could give a free bonus, such as an ebook, when people sign up. You could give another, unadvertised free bonus, when they confirm. You could combine the confirmation with one or more one-time-only sales pitches. At first, you might send subscribers to your affiliate vendor's sales letter. Later on, your own products will go here.

Once people are on your list, you send them regular messages - once a week or whatever works in your field - with a mixture of tips and sales pitches. Every month, a certain percentage of people will buy from these pitches. You continue to get sales off your list, even if traffic to your site dries up. See the appeal for long-term residual income?

Now for your ultimate plan. For the sake of discussion I'll suppose that you will build the world's supreme Alphabet portal, with an initial focus on Vowels. Design what the Alphabet portal will look like, with comprehensive sections on each letter, and guidance about how to make words! Include the syllable inventory, the punctuation guide, the videos showing pronunciation worldwide!

Now, make a revision that shows the Ultimate Vowels Portal... that looks great for people who love vowels... and that you know you can expand out with the consonants as your business grows.

Finally, suppose you are starting with the letter A. This is your actual launch design: the letter A side that you know how you'll expand to hold all the vowels, and ultimately become the world's top alphabet resource.

With this strategy, your design decisions will all fit into this ultimate plan. Do what works for a quick launch today, without painting yourself into a corner tomorrow.
