Internet Marketing - Men Vs Women

Ok before anyone begins rolling up their sleeves I'd just like to say this is an innocent thread (fixes his tie). It's not meant to offend any of the sexes at all so no heated arguments please!

The fact is, neither of the genders is better at IM than each other. Suggestions that state otherwise would be utterly stupid. But what I've noticed is there can be some differences in approach.

Lady marketers seem to be more focused. From what I know anyway.

So ladies and gentleman, what do you think? Do you think your internet marketing differs from the other?

Thanks,
Adam

Women are more conservative, don't take risks or don't like to gamble the results. So they can be steady and slow in their methods.

On the other hand, men are aggresive in certain ways. All hyped up product releases are mostly by men. They like to hit the motherload.

    These are just my thoughts.

From my own bit of experience, ladies tend to be more focus than men except that we have a greater number of men visiting the web.

Women tend to be better at sales, because they're more accustomed to communicating on an emotional level.

Sales happen emotionally. Men, in general, intuitively try to make them happen with reason and logic. So while a man usually has to be taught how to sell, women fall into it pretty naturally.

This isn't to say that women aren't logical, or that men aren't emotional. It's just that when you paint with a broad brush, each of them has a preferred and dominant way of communicating - more because of environmental and cultural factors than any inherent superiority.

My wife is definitely not better than me. But she is better organized and focused; sometimes very stupid!

She can write much better researched article than me; she doesn't like taking risk; she doesn't like me screwing scripts and wasting time!

In my experience as stated above, women are a bit more conservative. Men take bigger risks and have bigger rewards, whereas women are more middle of the road solid.

This is completely based on my experience with the marketers I know. Truthfully I only know a handful of women marketers so my data may not be that sufficient.

Personally, in my experience with working with male and female marketers, I notice that women seem to be more generous in the beginning.

I've gotten a lot of help from men before...but I notice they're more skeptical.

I think that's the motherly thing coming out...just my experience.

Men it seems are more likely to charge ahead and "push the limits" where as women take a step back and look then jump in.

Both models (charge charge charge vs take a step back then act) are great in their times...

    Just my observation though...

    Cheers,

    Brad

As a woman, I think I tend to look too deep into things where a man will jump right in and take bigger risks. I wish it didn't take me so long to complete tasks because I want them to be perfect before I feel good about letting it go public.
This might not be a woman thing, it might just be a personality trait.
I'm also a poker player and take lots of risks at poker. I win some big tourney's too.... So I do take risks but not so much online with products I bring out.

We need more lady gurus! That way we won't mind being forced to watch auto-playing videos that last 30 minutes and have no user controls.

    Thanks,
