Hi guys, I recently found a site giving me some 1500 plr articles per month free. I am not sure of the best way to utilize these for fear of duplicate content. If i have to rewrite large portions of them to make them my own so to speak, are they then worth the time and effort. Your opinions would be appreciated. cheers, Graham |

Are you looking for a business opportunity that’s property related? Well, the answer may be closer than you think – right on your doorstep perhaps. In fact, there’s money to be made anywhere you see a property for sale. Let me explain…

Hey Graham, First, let's clear up the duplicate content worry. The duplicate content penalty only comes into play if you have the same article on two different pages of your site. It doesn't penalize you for using content that may be on another site. Therefore, you are safe using PLR articles as content for your site or blog. You will want to read the articles before posting them and rewrite some of it to give the article your unique voice. PLR articles are a fast way to populate your site with useful information and to spark ideas for creating your own. Hope this helps Mike |

As mentioned, I don't think duplicate content is an issue, but I think (and someone with more experience will be able to confirm or deny) that the first person to post a given things gets the most out of it, so every duplicate gets a little less love. I've just recently started using PLR for stuff, but I rewrite it myself, because apparently I have some kind of control freak thing when it comes to writing.

Graham, PLR can be a gold mine! PLR cuts down so much time and effort, it's not even funny. My only concern with that many articles esp. being offered free, is that the quality will probably be sorely lacking. You really don't want to raise the ire of Google and put up "crap" content. On the other hand, if you have some great ones that you don't feel like re-writing, I'd turn them into Video Articles and submit them to video sites. Great way to get SE rankings, backlinks, and traffic. |

Hi graham, Yes Mike's right, you don't have much to fear with the duplicate content thing - it gets blown out of proportion totally. What you do need to worry about though is the quality of the articles - be sure to check them and make sure they are worthwhile before you post them anywhere. I've come across some PLR stuff that's just junk, I mean the sentences didn't even make sense. And on the other hand I've also found some great stuff, so make sure you check it out first. Hope that's useful David |

Wow! Thank you all for such a quick response and for the positive feedback. As far as the quality of article goes, I have only read and used 3 so far and rewritten portions to suit myself, but the overall quality (so far) is impressive. There is one on my blog which I posted about an hour ago but then got to worrying about dupliacte content. Thank you for putting my fears to bed. Jason, how do you do a video article? ....Iam definitely interested. Thanks guys, Graham |

Hey Graham, You know what I do with those? I build my own Q&A "interviews" using these articles. So let's say if a paragraph in your PLR article said something like, Quote:
Q: How has the internet impacted the way small businesses conduct marketing? Then use the answer above as yours. Compile them in PDF, give them away or edit the text and make it more natural for audio recording so you can do a live interview with someone else asking you pre-defined questions you just answering back. If you added appropriate graphics, pictures to better build your case, it'll look like a nice report.

Takuya Excellent idea! Graham, can I be the expert you are interviewing? Doing 1,500 interviews a month I'll soon be more famous than Rich Schefren ![]() Martin |
