If you live in The United States or Canada, you can make good money from surveys. If you live in other parts of the world it is not a good option. There is a site called Surveyscout that seems to be the best survey site. Here´s more information: Survey Scout

Before I gave the concept of "internet marketing" much serious thought, I actually started out doing surveys.

It's mind-numbingly boring work, IMO, but you CAN make some money at it (because of the boredom factor, I never used it for much beyond say, a ~30 hour per week job, but I get that you could make more, if you can stand it).

Bear in mind that you'll NEED a separate e-mail account to funnel all the spam mail though, and that you'll need to sign up with several such companies in order to make more than the odd buck.

Once you sign up with one, don't worry...the others will find you in short order, which can be a bit of a blessing and a curse.

Vindale Research is a good company, btw, and one I'd recommend IF you're gonna do it, but on balance, I'd recommend learning IM and forgetting the surveys.

      -=Vel=-

PS: Keep this in mind too: Surveys come in three basic "flavors" - Cash, Points, and Sweepstakes.

Cash is best (obviously). Points are second (can be redeemed, usually for "gift cards" at various stores), and Sweeps are generally a waste of time.

Anyway...that's that, for what it's worth.

If you have a short term cash need, you might find it worthwhile, but in the long run, learning IM will get you where you want to go.

      Hope it helps.

You would make much more starting your own survey site you can make $1 - $3 for every sign up you get.

Just tell the truth and advice all visitors that in order to get enough surveys to make decent money they need to sign up for as many companies as possible

You don't make more than the odd buck doing the surveys...you sign up others to do surveys. That's how the money is made.
