Question about sales funnel best practices
What we'd like to do is show an up-sell page for users that select a silver account, for instance, and then also be able to show an OTO for the add-on service. We could also potentially include a down-sell or something of the type in the future.
The main question is around when to send people to the payment page. One option is to send people top pay as soon as they've selected something at the first step, and then require them to go back to the payment page if they take the upgrade or the OTO. The other option is to just wait until the end and have them go to the payment page only once.
I imagine most buyers would prefer the latter, but I'm somewhat concerned about the possibility of people dropping out of the funnel before completing payment if we wait until the end.
What's your experience?
