Help!! Information OVERLOAD!

Hi guys,

I've been lurking in the forums for a while now. I'm kinda getting crazy. I've tried many many methods to do IM. I've got 1 sale from PPC but the loss soon covered the gain. I tried SEO but it didn't work that well.

I'm going to throw all that I've read aside now. I just need a helpful warrior to tell me what I should do. Here's what I have. I got a hosting account, autoresponder account. I can register new domains but it would be best if I needn't.

I was thinking of building my list first. But I kinda met a stone wall. You see there are not many niches where you can go in and sell products again and again and again.

I've got a plan though.

1) Find a profitable niche
2) Set up follow up messages in autoresponder
3) Make a short report
4) Write articles and make simple videos
5) Write more articles and make more videos

However, what is really stopping me is to get a niche. Well I'm not really good at anything I guess. I am good at scoring well for science (still a student) but guess that doesn't help a lot.

I can swim, but I've checked out the swimming niche. Not very good i guess not a lot of demand for products and such. I am a weight lifting enthusiast but I can't really establish myself as an expert because I don't know everything about it.

The only one thing I think I'm better at is getting motivated. Learning something new kinda thing. I'm quite a crazy guy when it comes to learning new skills I pushed myself to learn swimming (which i just picked up last year) and I got myself into the finals. That's what I'm best at I think? (not trying to boast just giving you guys more info).

What do you guys think of my plan? Should I infiltrate the Personal Growth/Self Help niche? Kinda saturated but I found great potential =)

P.S. This time I have no motivation because I have no direction! Please point me in the correct direction please!

P.P.S I'm on quite a tight budget so it would be cool if you guys give me a suggestion which is not so heavy on my wallet. A new domain would be alright.

    Hi Zack,

    I can see that you have a plan already..that's great

    You don't need us to tell you what to do. Follow your convictions and stick with it...

    That list of yours look good. Whatever happens don't stray away from it..
    If you get sidetracked bring out that list and work on it again..check each one every time you accomplish something on that list of yours.

    Though I would recommend that you run that Personal Growth/Self Help niche of yours in Google's keyword tool to determine if there's a particular profitable keyword you could target.

    Let me end with this little story of mine

    There was a time I was lost (really lost in a new place). Being scared I called up a friend and told her what was happening. I said "Hey I'm a bit scared, I think I'm lost" which she candidly replied "Aren't we all?"

    I think looking for the proper direction is something we all must do, others can point the way but in the end it's still us who decides where to go.

    @avenuegirl - Actually I would go into the food industry and start selling chicken rice xD Not that good at it though, just smoked my kitchen with burnt cookies the other day =O

    Well I would also want to be a tuition teacher or something like that, because I will be able to do what I'm good at. haha. As a fitness enthusiast, I will also go into personal coaching, because it would be quite impossible to give tuition all the time!
