Most of the people I know that work specifically with Photoshop are freelancers, and most have established a website, and then made advertisements through media such as YouTube videos. I also know someone who posted a "Before/After" billboard started their career that way, and actually made pretty good money.

If she lived in the city, you could offer product photography and editing, a service that has do with photographing products and editing them to be posted on eBay listings, eCommerce websites, etc. I had to hire someone full time just to do this.

Yes, but i think she then first needs to understand about the marketing products and how they can be edited ...
Since she is a complete noob for the internet marketing world -- will take time

Yes we were planning to open a website and offer services from there...
was planning to put her skills on display and accordingly ask clients for there needs and services they need

Finding a good product photographer who knows how to take the pictures for the internet is hard to find. Sometimes just finding a good product photographer can be frustrating.

A lot of times photographing for the web is different that print. Not only do you need the product with a good background you also usually need the product to be on a background that can be easily knocked out or chroma keyed.

If she has skills in that area that would be an avenue for her to explore.

Here's my secret tip - it was my biggest money making idea working as a professional photographer with excellent photoshop skills.
I photographed multi-day event - made tons of photos and on the second+ day of event brought these mosaic posters for sale.

People loved it.

An excellent way to monetize existing and new shots is to put them on iStockphoto. To see what the top money makers are look at how many times some of them are being downloaded to give you an idea of where to start. I used to date a girl who did this and she banked. We went on vacation about once a month so she could take photos, it was cool because it was business write off as well.
