How Much To Pay For A Site ?

Hi,

How much for a neglected clickbank affiliate minisite which has made about 500$ in 2 years, with a 20$ commission.

I was hoping some of the more experienced warrior flippers in here could suggest a fair value for it.

Thank You
Vijay

    Is the niche dead?
How much traffic does it get now?
    Any current sales?

Without all that info I would say $250-400

$200 is the max it would bring based on income alone and maybe not even that. Other factors would be great design, traffic, backlinks, how it ranks for keywords, etc. If it has been truly neglected, and if the sales are mostly not very recent, it will be hard to get much for it.

    Thanks for the awesome input.

It gets about 200 visitors pm.

The sales are very recent (Dec 3) it made 2 sales and that's how it was noticed. :-)

Those are both good points to mention in a sales letter for the site. You could list on Flippa or Warrior Forum "Complete Websites for Sale" forum. You could try namepros.com if you don't want to pay for listing.

Hard to say. How much support does it need? Investition for traffic? A lot of factors to consider...

It all depends on where the traffic is coming from, how long the site has been receiving the traffic, etc.. If all things are right on then 12 x is not unrealistic.

With such low visitors 2 or 3 years income would be the most you could expect. I recently bought a site where I paid 15 times income but this was purely because the site had good visitors, was in a strong niche, had great serps.

The guy who owned it just did not know how to monetize it and was mistakenly only going for Adsense.

At the end of the day it is how big someone see's the opportunity with a particular site.

    HI

I would say about $300-$400 at a guess. but it depends on if the site still gets traffic and how much each month... also have you tried putting adsense on the site..

Usually people are willing to pay about one year's worth of revenue, but if you can prove that the site name and brand is worth something then they will be willing to pay more for it. Another thing is traffic trends and how strong the traffic is relative to the niche you're going after.

Get google analytics and see what that shows you after a couple of months. Hopefully that will result in something presentable that will be worth something for somebody that wants to get started in your niche.

Best of luck with the sale,

    Yazan

Thank you all for the inputs.

I now a have a general idea on what to expect.

Its in a women's health niche and I just was not interested in it and hence did not promote it much.

I think instead of getting rid of it for 200 or 300, a better idea might be to promote it for 2 months and then sell it.

Sorry Vijay, I would have to go lower and say it is worth about $150. However you will probably find someone to pay $300 for it if they are very keen to get into that niche, and it saves them the hassle of designing the site and all.
