Newbie blog advice

My name is Telisha and I am a newbie to IM. I have been reading up on it for a long time and yesterday I actually took action. I created a blog, well...... 2 sorta. I was hoping that I could get some advice on them.

Such as... is the writing effective? If not how can I fix this? (I am not a good writer to this is the hardest part for me but I can do it, I just have to work extra hard)

How can I take what I have written and lead into getting the person to buy what I am offering?

Any ideas would be helpful.

    Welcome to the forums Telisha..
    First of all, it will look very professional if you use your own domain and hosting..
    and you definitely need to improve your writing..
    And as far as driving traffic to the site and selling the product is concerned, there are many threads already on that topic..
    Just use the search function..

    My only thought on the writing stuff is that generally speaking it will get easier as time goes by. I certainly was not as efficient at the beginning as I am now. If you write how you talk then everything usually works out fine in the end, we typically are our own worst critics.

    Here are 2 ways I've found to be effective for leading the readers towards what I'm offering:

    1. Outline a set of tips followed by a strong call to action to learn more. For example on your quit smoking blog you could have a post that says something like "5 Tips To Quit Smoking NOW!" At the end of your 'tips' entry you could say something as simple as "For more details on exactly how to apply these tip so you can finally kick the habit forever, CLICK HERE"

    2. Write a short review of the product you're selling. Of course it's a good idea if you've actually tried the product or if it's an ebook actually read it!

    Hope this helps... you're definitely on the right track, keep going!
