Craigslist Advertising

Hello,

I currently post a ad for my service on craigslist until it expires and then repost.
I would like to make sure that my service is posted each week automatically.
Is there special autopost software that will do this or is there a certain method
used manually that will work? Btw, I was under the impression that a lot of the
autopost software was banned?

Thanks,
Troy

As long as you post within only a few cities you'll be fine -
though CL posting has a CAPCHA feature, which means
    it screens-out bots pretty well.

If you're looking to spam 100 cities every week... well,
then you're in the spamming business and operating
    outside CL Terms of Service.

CL is pretty permissive with smaller quantities of cross-posting
to different cities. You have to mix-up the headlines
and the textual content of your ads a bit, otherwise
it won't let you post - so modifying your ads is part of
    the job.

These days you need a phone-verified account to post
to CL for many of the categories, including services
offered. Of course if you're in the spamming business
you'll find a way to buy phone-verified accounts so
    you can spam more.

If you're just looking to post weekly to a handful of cities
you can probably slip under the radar with only one
account - if that account gets banned for spam-activity,
you'll need to get another to continue your posting
    activity.

CL is trying to eliminate spammers promoting affiliate
offers and CPA offers mostly; also phishing. If you
have a legit business and you want to find clients
you should be alright if you use some restraint.

If you're only posting a handful of ads a week it's
    really not time consuming.

Whatever the resume writer services are using works. I suspect they hire people to post all over craigslist for them. Frankly I'm tired of seeing the same postings every day which is exactly what craigslist is trying to avoid. Because they probably use different people with different email addresses and accounts they can keep posting the same tired advertisements over and over every day and not get banned.

Thanks. I'm only looking to post to no more than 10 cities in my area. I will try changing the headline and body content a bit. I only have one account so this will have to do.

The thing I dislike about CL is not so much the people that spam post but more the people that email me when I post trying to get me to join something. To me that is spam that craigslist has not addressed to my knowledge.

I do videography and get a pretty good response when I do post. The problem I have is some time I forget that my ad has expired and lose a couple of weeks. If I can post my service to 10 or so cities in my area that would be great.

If Craigslist started a paid advertising program for all categories, they'd make a killing.
