I went on their website right now and it said it will work till 12/10/10

Traffic bug never produced any measurable results for me, I didn't go past the free trial.

Yes, I see the same. They say "The software will be back online and better than ever by 12/10/10 or sooner."

      Good question.

I tried it but had no quantifiable results, and yet others seem to have better luck.

I think it's a bit like the close button on an elevator - pushing it makes you feel better, but is that what caused the door to close? I think some aren't even connected.

Damn. I didn't even know they were down. I cannot even access their site anymore. I had more than 300 posts in there for bookmarking so I think its a shame if they have ran off. I saw some results to begin with but not nearly as much as I though I would... It looked like the answers to my prayers. If something is too good to be true etc...

Interesting... I'm getting a "server not found" now.

They sure did handle this poorly. At the VERY LEAST they should have informed their clients that they were going to be off-line.

The site has been back up for quite a while now, but there has not been any "news" updates on the site and I've not had any email from the owner since the downtime.

Traffic Bug did not work for me - it submitted links to all the wrong categories and needed alot of manual labour on my part so I didn't go past the free trial. You are beteer off manually submitting.

I would say to check out Big Mike's products.

I tried out Traffic Bug during last year's 30DC...it did beat manually submitting to socialmarker and socialposter.com. I never went past the free trial though.

I used traffic-bug exclusively on one site for a test. If you submit correctly, with good titles, and good summaries, it definitely worked. I charted each days results for 3 weeks on a spread sheet.

The backlink count steadily increased over 3 weeks. I was fully indexed in about 5 days. This was on a brand new site.

I also tested it on an existing site that I did a facelift on. The results were a rapid drop in Alexa ranking. The site was hovering around 2 million, and dropped to 450,000 in about 2 weeks. The site jumped to the 1 st page rankings in Google for two of the primary keywords in about 5 days. These were highly competed words in the shipping industry.

So, my opinion is that is does work, and works well if you spend a little time creating good title submissions, and decent summaries.

I used TrafficBug during the 30 DC and it submitted to some sketchy looking sites and it had no measurable effect on my traffic. I'm very glad I only used the free version.

Edit: I should say my site was already up and running for a little bit and had been indexed weeks before submitting so that wasn't my intent.

      Hello all,

I tried Traffic Bug and even paid for 2 month of service. I got maybe 1 or 2 backlinks for my site that was already well indexed by the search engines. When I would ask questions about it, I was told wait and see, be patient. How it did such wonderful things for the 30dc crew's websites. While I signed up because of the 30dc crew's recommendation, I wanted to see results for my site, wasn't really interested in how wonderful it was for the 30dc crew.

I finally asked for a refund of my 2 months paid subscription and was only refunded one month. Was told that one month was being held for administrative costs. Really - for what - to run a site/software that didn't provide me any viable results?

Oh yeah, the 1 site I got backlinked to was some site in India...Wow-Thanks

        Never worked for me.

Used for 3 months without any results.

Sure was hoping this to be a good tool.

I tried it for 3 months as well, and got absolutely nothing out of it. I did all the deeplinking and filling out all the forms to the max and still got nothing from it. Not impressed at all.

It's working really well for me.

And I just got my weekly report from them this morning.

I used Traffic Bug for the trial period and even paid for 3 months afterward with the hope that it would do what it claimed to (based on Ed Dale's recommendation).

I would say it was more than a disappointment to me. I think they should rename it Anti-Traffic Bug.

I know the creator says it's still in Beta and it takes time to see results and that why I kept paying but it seems like lots of over-promising and under-delivering to me.

At least that's my experience with it. Better luck to you. Randy

Looks like it's open to me, they're inviting new sign-ups. The login page is there. Am I missing something?

On the other hand, one person got good results, several others didn't. Is it even worth using?

Personally, I think they came out of the gate too soon (assuming they would've made some improvements if they hadn't). I recently resubscribed to give them another try, but I'm not seeing any improvements in function at the web site. Wait and see on the actual process. I saw enough improvement from the free trial to give it another go, but I was hoping to see some upgrades in the user interface and functionality.

I may be unsubscribing in a month or two, but in the meantime I'm pouring all my links in there and letting it work away while I keep my stethescope on the pulse of my web sites.
