Ok this is just a general question i have been wondering, if i get someone to write out an interview series that i bought then i modify it into an ebook to sell would that be illegal?

If you took a Harry Potter book and recorded yourself reading it, and then tried to sell the recording, that will be illegal.

If you took a Harry Potter audio book and wrote it down and made it into an ebook and tried to sell the ebook, that will be illegal too.

Yes that is obvious and if you read my post without jumping to conclusion it says INTERVIEW SERIES not an AUDIO BOOK. An interview series if you must know is where one person is picking at another persons brain in order to gain that information i am purely just writing down what other people are saying and putting it into a readable ebook, i am sorry if the question i posted was not as clear as i intended.

It would be absolutely illegal if you straight away copy paste the content into some other form .... like an ebook.... however if you take stuff from the ebook, add your own bit ..... explore new dimensions ... comment on new ones .... and finally come up with something new .... then it wouldn't be illegal ..... (unless you have straight away copied some content).....
