The easiest way to create a niche product... In less than a week

Before I start, here's my disclaimer:

I believe that the skill of a great copywriter is a gift from the gods. And, that all copywriters are better human beings than everyone else that walks the face of the earth. In fact, I believe that the next president of the country, should be or have an extensive background in copyrighting. Oh... and if there is ever a job opening for "leader of the world," the only people worthy of filling such a position, would have to be without a doubt-copywriters.

End of disclaimer...

O.k.

If you need a quick easy way to get your feet wet with product creation, I have a solution for you. Now this is not... I repeat, this is not anything new.

But for those of you that struggle with writing, consider creating a video courses using:

a. a web cam
b.powerpoint or keynote
c.camtasia or screenflow
d.the knowledge that you already have of your niche.

It's very easy to over-complicate the writing process. And seeking perfection can also get in the way. If you are doing niche marketing and you are trying to create your first product... you should really consider making a 98% video course.

If you know your niche like the back of your hand(guys replace "back of your hand" with "palm of your hand") then you shouldn't have a problem at all, creating a video product in less than a week.

I am putting the finishing touches on a video course that took me:

1 day to complete 8 videos
1 day to complete the sales letter
Tomorrow I will spend some time going over everything to ensure that it's packed with enough value to satisfy the buyers

This brings me to a total of 3 days from start to finish. I may also spend an extra day doing extensive keyword research. And, I need to settle on a price.

The last thing that I will point out is that I did not have to spend a dime creating this product.

There is absolutely no excuse for not being able to generate money online.

    Marc,

I haven't tried the video route, maybe it's time...

In your experience, are there technical and production issues one would need to be prepared for - eg as a newbie camtasia user?

Do you write a script beforehand?

You can right a script... it's up to you.

The only technical issues that I can think of are the ones you would encounter while trying to learn camtasia for the first time.

I hope that answers your question.

I really appreciate that you shared this post. I have been on th efence a long time about creating a video course. Partly because I rad a lot faster than I can watch a video. But that's just me. I am working on getting over that prejudice. Boof, I feel a little kick from myself to get up and get going.

The average video length is around 5 minutes. And I have decided to add two bonus videos that will be 10 minutes each.

I haven't decided on a price point yet.

I'm thinking in the range of $50 to $100

I just recently purchased camtasia and made a few videos utilizing powerpoint and audio. It was a little bit of a learning curve but its a lot easier sometimes to get the message across in less time. Looking forward to see what you have produced..

I don't think product creation is that hard. It's finding a large audience of targeted buyers that's always the challenge.

Yes..it is really that easy EXCEPT...

      1. You have to have a market in mind and have identified a desired outcome against which you can position your course, program, blueprint....etc

      2. Then, you must have a top-notch title that hits a nerve, captures their attention and convinces them that you have essential information to helping them achieve a certain outcome

      3. You want to have outlined your product appropriately - I too like using Powerpoint - that's how I design 90% of my products, as courses first, then some of them I have turned into full-blown written infoproduct while others have become video series and all out training systems.

      4. Next, you want to have the basics of Camtasia down including the best settings for recording and producing your videos (depending on the delivery format being web or DVD)

      5. You want to find a few quality, meaningful bonuses that you can add to the package

      6. You need a quality sales site, method to accept payment, affiliate program, etc...

So yes, product creation can be very easy - and even the steps above can be learned in very little time, but I commonly have students that stumble on each of these 6 areas causing huge delays or a flop in the marketplace.

The great part about this system is that once you have gone through it the first time, it gets easier and easier until you can do it blindfolded...hey maybe that's how I'll try my next product!

Audio and video are definitely the new wave but don't forget people like me who are hard of hearing. A PDF transcript would be much appreciated. I've lost count of the offers I've had to pass up simply because they've been either audio or video.

This is an excellent point. That's why my sales letter is going to make it clear that it's a video only course.

Am I wrong or this method of producing videos with Camstasia only serves well for Internet Marketing or software related products?

I mean, One of my niches is Paddle Tennis. I know I could do a video on Paddle techniques, But I will need to take the equipment to the Tennis Court. I couldn't use camstasia for that.

Other of my niches is Photography. How Can I use Camstasia without referring to Photoshop or another software?

Or for my Midgets Dating Site? and for my Ants breeding Niche?

I really would like to know more about video creation for those niches, because a "traditional" How-to video (WIth a good quality) will be VERY, I mean VERY expensive to produce.

Is there any other cheaper way?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kindest Regards,

    Chewie.

Camtasia is only useful for recording a computer screen. If you wanted to attempt to use it for niches like paddle tennis or midget dating, I would recommend that you create a PowerPoint presentation on those subjects, and then record the PowerPoint presentation using Camtasia.

Other than this, I can't really think of another way that Camtasia can be applied to those niches. (Yes, Camtasia works best for things that are computer based, internet based, software based, etc).
