Paypal payment reversal

Got an email this morning from PP that a buyer has requested a payment reversal due to unauthorized payment. No biggie...found out this guy is on several refund lists already.

The thing is...when I go to the Paypal Resolution Center, I can not for the life of me figure out how to respond to this so that I can actually write a note about it...every obvious place that I'm supposed to click simply takes me to another area where I can't leave a message.

I know it's early, and pre-coffee for me, but come on...am I missing something really obvious? :confused:

    You might find what you're looking for if you go to your PayPal Profile.
    They list absolutely everything there. Took me awhile to figure that out.
    Poor organization of the site, if you ask me - until you discover this.

    You'll be looking for a place to make a payment back to the customer?

      Search in History for that transaction. Click on details, and send them a refund.

      If you have the IP address of the order or download, reply to the dispute with it, but start by pointing out that you've issued a refund. I would include something along the lines of, "If this IP address matches the source of the dispute, you may have someone using your service to obtain products fraudulently."

    No, I don't intend to offer a refund unless Paypal requires me to. I just need to find the place to actually respond to the dispute.

      After speaking with lisa, the same email address hit us with 2 unauthorized yesterday too...

      If anyone is getting requests from an email that starts with davidthoggy ....

      I'd be interested in knowing

        Interesting. PayPal should implement a 'flagging' system to alert them to such multiple refund claims from the same email address.

    Okay so issue the refund first? Then tell them it's likely fraudulent?

    Paypal's website is a hot mess.
