Guru Sales Tricks I'm Really Tired Of Seeing

I'm sick of the emails that say, "Here's proof my system works", and all you see is a video sales letter of the guru showing you his/her adsense screen shot.

To me that's not proof!

Show me where your site ranks for a given keyword, how many back links you have and where they came from and then you will have credibility.

I'm also sick of the trick where they promise to show you some awesome traffic secrets once you become a member of their site $50 a month site.

Seems like it takes about 3 or 4 months before you get to see any "real secrets".

Just my little rant for today.

    Jim, this is a good point there are lot of people out there using tricks to make money.

    But I think that if I show you my earnings it is a great proof because I can have lot of backlinks, great ranks, lot of traffic but if I am not able to monetize all this then it is like nothing.

    Well, when it comes to money making sites, I really don't care about backlinks, page rank or anything else except one thing.

      George, I would amend that to...

      Show me the money, then show me something that makes me believe this wasn't a one-hit wonder and that I can still do the same things and expect similar results.

      I could dig up a 3 year old Adsense statement showing how I made thousands of dollars with a piece of software that scrapes other sites and builds thousands of garbage sites with ads on them.

      I don't really need to mention that the program leaves a footprint Bigfoot could sleep in, and that Google has delisted any site with the footprint - or worse - do I?

      I mean, I did show you the money, right?

        Show me the money and... what john said. Many times when webmasters are throwing around impressive stats RE: PR, position on google etc. the money issue is skirted. I have a site that has been on the top of google for months and I haven't made a dime from it that I know of. I'll sell it based on the Google location but it will be cheap, coz, no money.

    Ya that gets annoying for a lot of us who've been around the block a few times but like they say... If it ain't broke, don't fix it. You'd be surprised if you just follow the simplicity of a lot of these campaigns you can make a good profit. Just do it better and don't be annoying and people will like you better.

        I love this!! I have a People Eating Tasty Animals tshirt that I wear and it gets some of the best reactions. I have been high fived, and cursed out. It is amazing what some people will react to.
