I'm running Norton Ghost!

.... and i'm off to bed now while it does it's magic!

I have a hell of a lot of important data - can't afford to lose any of it.

In addition to Ghost I may also subscribe to online backups for files that I would need to get access to within minutes should my system go down.

Just out of interest, I was wondering what other Warriors do for backup and disaster recovery?

Or is it too scary / boring to think about?

Oddly, I use Ghost to make an image of my drive as well. I do it about once a month to a External USB Drive. I also backup my documents and such to a different USB Drive every week.

I use Paragon for drive imaging. I have less trouble with it than I had with Ghost and TrueImage. Also, it only takes a moment to delete the old backups.

I also use GoodSync to back up my files almost daily. It doesn't back up my system, but it does allow me to do individual backups for different files. I back up My Documents to an external hard drive. In addition I back up critical files to Flash drives. I can do it all at once, or just the backup I select.

@InternetMarketingIQ - sure thing! i'm going to have a bowl of cornflakes with milk and a cup of tea in about 30 minutes.

Thanks for the replies, I used TrueImage a while back, that was quite good too, but I was using a license of my dads and I lost the license info so purchased Ghost instead.

Would like to know how I can do a trial restore test, perhaps this is possible using a virtual machine to restore it to.
