Best form of paid advertising...

I specialize in free traffic techniques and only used Adwords before as a paid advertising technique. I have seen many "junk" pay for hits sites, but I guess all of them are scam s and don't deliver on quality traffic.

ANyone here know of any of these pay for hits sites or other advertising sites that are worth the money if you want to invest in traffic?

Bert, this post on another forum (Wahm) may help you, in that it gives a very specific answer (too long for me to repeat here) to your question.

Banner ads fell out of favour some time ago, but I agree they are making a resurgence.

Oh yes everything old is new again. CPM banner ad buys are now known as PPV. Us old-timers get confused LOL

If you are really looking for long term relationship with target customers, direct ads in websites in the same niche can do wonders.

I've been testing different advertising. Text ads and Banner ads. I saw some decent results from PayDotCom.

With paid ads you have to do a lot of testing.

If you can get your ads approved, Facebook has one of the best ad targeting platforms in the business.

Exposure and branding is cheap, as are the clicks (relatively). overall it's a great place to test market your products and find your target market.

And it seems that you can get a lot of decent cheap traffic from PPV. It is just a new term for an old advertising method. I used this method and easily got loads of $0.03 clicks. I head you can even get it cheaper these days.

Paid advertising, ummm would outsourcing be an option here? I just have fun when promoting my stuff but have people I hire that that do all the grunt work. To me thats the best paid advertising I can think of.

Yeah. Don't forget that you can always pay your own freelancers to do the "free" traffic methods.

That turns some of the most effective long-term traffic methods into a simple "paid traffic" situation.

What I recommend you do is create a "pillar" article (full of amazing content) and post it on your site. You can then purchase Stumblepon ads for 5 cents per visitor. This send a flow of traffic to your site, and exposes your content to a larger audience. If the visitors appreciate your content then they are likely to stumble your content, resulting in even more additional visitors which you did not need to pay for. In my opinion this is one of the best paid advertising options available.

This is very powerful, and can result in your content going viral.

But remember they key is to write an extraordinary article which really compels people to stumble your article.

      Hope this helps,

Isn't it strange how banner ads are becoming more and more popular these days. And why? Did people just start clicking them as of late, or did we get misinformation about them a few years back and thought they didn't work?

I think there is something funny going on here. Because when I first arrived on the interweb I think I clicked a banner ad before I even knew what a link was. So I don't think they ever were "a bad deal" I think someone (guru) said google was a better route than banner ads and we all just lined up and went that way.... LOL, now we have the "guru's" saying banner ads are the way to go, I'm sure you all got the messages in your emails too.

I have to laugh now because I actually would use banner ads before I go to google. It really is more sensible in my books.

But who am I, I use facebook ads hehehe.

I say using PPV to test out some keywords before scaling up to some of the more expensive PPC networks whether it be content network or the main search page.

It's nice to see some serious interest in paid advertising versus non-stop article marketing (it's ok, but it's way tough to scale).

Not to to be the tool bag to say it, but the best paid advertising is going to be what converts highest and is scalable. If you've got a solid backend and some upfront capital CPA will be huge for you.

On the other hand, if you're strapped for cash PPV could give you a better bang for your buck. It's all relative to your offer, your market and your available distribution channels.

Finding good courses on paid advertising can be tough though. It seems like when anybody says paid advertising our minds go straight to adwords.

Weak. There's a lot of great paid advertising out there, that can be scaled up on demand.

Testing is so crucial in paid advertising, but in my opinion much easier. After all you can get hooked up with prosper202 for free.
