Is Squidoo or HP worth the bother?

Does anyone get a lot of success with Squidoo or HP?

I realise that it is good for a good ranking on the search engines, but is there any other need for them?

I used Squidoo & HP before I forwarded my domain to my affiliate page as you are unable to place an affiliate link in your article at EZA. Therefore I used Squidoo & HP as a landing page, However now there is no need for it.

I am not sure exactly what you are asking.

I have some hubpages that rank well and link to my landing pages (which are on my site), and I make sales that way.

So I guess it is useful

Both squidoo and hub pages work... as long as you're putting good unique content on them and then doing some simple back linking depending on how competitive your keywords are... Any high PR, high trafficked website that you can put your website link on and get traffic from you should make an effort to get your content and link on that site.

If you are creating good, original content, you can easily create a network of followers for your extended networks- twitter, facebook, etc...
    Lots of possibilities there.

I have used both for building backlinks to my main sites, and to promote affiliate products and have had some success.

It takes good content and some back linking to have success with Squidoo and Hup Pages.
