What do you do after you write an article for your site or blog?

Do you take this same article and submit it to various article directories? Social bookmark it? Spin it and make multiple articles out of it? Or what else do you do?

    Hi Colton

Whenever i write an article (or outsource it for that matter) I always post it on my twitter account, facebook and then myspace accounts so that my social media friends see it. Post it on my warrior forum blog and then re-submit it to another nine directories then bookmark the original article (the one i want the traffic going to).

I keep 10 for my niche that are my favourite then once a day a post it to my twitter followers to keep the traffic coming in.

    I hope that helps

    kind regards

    sam

Thanks for your reply, do you link back to the same article on your money page or website? I guess what I'm saying is do you not want the same article on your website to be the one submitted to the directories? Should they be different?

My understanding is that you should never have the exact duplicate content on separate sites. Make each version unique by changing the introduction to the context of where it is being published. Also depending on where it is being published, you can advertise different value added services specific to that user target group.

After you post to your blog you need to submit the post to as many social sites as you can (I use SocialBot), then submit the post to blog carnival (I use Xingla Pro), and then submit the RSS feed (I use RssBot), and after about 15 days you need to submit the post to EZA and then wait a couple more days and submit it to as many article directories as you can (I use Content Crooner) . You can then make a Squidoo page and a Hubpage and then turn the article into a video article. And use pingler.com to ping each of your blog posts.

I agree w/ Joel Gray and others, and just got some new ideas myself! (Thanks folks!)

About the pinging and social bookmarking: Just be sure you put your bookmarks in the right categories. I've used SocialMarker.com with some good luck (sometimes a little slow - but it is free - you'll have to sign up for various social bookmarking sites first - just make sure you're signing up for the most appropriate ones for your niche).

Some other pinging options are ping-o-matic (sometimes they are offline, but keep checking), and also KingPing - both are free to use.

Other places to put your RSS feeds are Feedage and Feedest.

I also agree wholeheartedly w/ Trafficker, above. It is very important to change your content - or "spin" your content as you mentioned. It's not too hard - make up a few different titles that you can interchange, a few intros and words in different paragraphs: For example, let's say your original paragraph begins:
"Now we get into the nuts & bolts of the problem..."

Well, you can have a few different ways to begin it such as:
"It's important to now get to the root of the issue..."
"At this point, we need to look at what is at the bottom of the problem..."

Or, let's say your original title is:
"Five Ways to Improve Your Marketing Efforts"
    You can try:
"The Top Five Tips that Improve Your Marketing"
"How to Improve Your Marketing so that You Rise Above the Crowd"

This technique can and should be done frequently throughout your article. And... if you aren't writing articles that are too long (I'm pretty sure that the guidelines say 500-800 words or so), it won't be as daunting a task.

I hope this made sense! It really is important to NOT have duplicate content out there.

    Cheers!

This is one of the best question in the warrior forum I have seen for a while!

When I am testing a market or a keyword phrase I will take an article and "spin it to death" and submit it using various softwares or monthly subscription services. Without giving too many secrets away I will say some suggest a spinning number of 30% but I find much better success at around 40%.

Then once I notice an article is getting some ranking say in the top 100 spots of google I will use social bookmarking. The problem is you will need some software that will help you determine where you articles are ranking and this is a whole different subject.

Once I find a niche that will "stick" I get a bit more serious and write every article I need as an original or spin articles up around 50-60% and it depends on the niche.

After I write an article I just publish it. One of my blogs has 4k RSS subscribers and I don't do any other marketing/backlinking stuff. However one cannot afford to just publish it and sit back & relax is the subscriber count is in 3 digits or less.

I publish the article on my blog, ping my blog, socially bookmark and submit my RSS feed to aggregators

    Hey Colton,

Sam(dsm) and James(Richjerks) really know their stuff. Pay attention to their posts about article marketing.
